WIJFR- The Bad Beginning: A Series of Unfortunate Events- Lemony Snicket

WIJFR- The Bad Beginning: A Series of Unfortunate Events- Lemony Snicket. I just finished reading the first book in this series. I love this movie, and was very excited when I discovered there was a book series. For the most part the book was spot on with the movie, just a few minor tweaks. The only thing extremely different was a marriage scene in book one, and the movie ended with that scene. Overall I believe there are thirteen books in this series, and I am hoping I like each of them this much as well. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

  • I read the first few books in the series years ago and actually enjoyed them more than the movie. I hope to go back and finish the series at some point! Glad you liked the first book :)
  • I loved this series. I read it several years ago, as an adult, and the books still interested me.

I loved this series too. I listened to most of them on audio because Tim Curry was so fantastic reading them.

Wha? Tim Curry? How did I not know he read these? My goodness I'm adding a lot to my reading/listening pile today!

Do! His voice and these stories are such a perfect pairing. A few of them were read by the author  (maybe #2 & #3 or #3 and #4?) and they were alright, but not as good as Tim Curry's.
