This is the only one I've read by her. I'll have to pick up The Winter Sea and see what I think. I liked Marianna, quite a bit, but I didn't rush to pick up another by her.

I think that The Rose Garden is my favorite, but I still really liked Marianna. I think I would have absolutely loved it if we got a little more of the story instead of it ending like it did. I still thought it was wonderful, though.

So far, I think The Winter Sea and The Firebird are my absolute favorites by her. I'll put this above The Rose Garden.

Me too. I have The Splendour Falls but haven't started it yet. Has anyone read that one? I don't think I've heard it talked about much around here...

It was fairly different from her other books. I still loved it, but I can see why people may not like this one as much.

@sweetrhythms I was thinking of picking Splendour Falls up soon. I may just join you and @Lauren620 if the timing is right

I didn't love The Splendour Falls. I have a feeling if I had read it vs listening (sorry @Lauren620, the narrator sounded like a 60 year old woman) I would have like it a lot better.

I will probably try listening first, but if I can't get into the audio I will check the library. That's such a shame because I have loved all of the other audiobooks of hers so far.

ITA - the narrator was not a good fit for the book.
