ADD

I'm not officially diagnosed, but they say all adults have a minor version of it. Mine has been horrible this weekend!! I have been trying to get the kitchen and family room cleaned up all weekend and it still hasn't happened. I take something to another room and get involved doing something in that room. Hell...I could take something to the other end of the kitchen and get distracted. I went back and forth b/n unpacking a bag I took yesterday and emptying the dishwasher. Every room in my house has stuff in it that needs to be put away. Not alot, just enough to bug me. DH even told me to take my book and sit outside and read this afternoon, but I can't relax knowing what needs to be done inside.

It's called pregnancy brain. It's MUCH worse the second time around!!
  • I do that all the time & I don't even have the excuse of pregnancy brain.

I have learned to clean ONE room at a time. If something needs to be put away in another room, I set it aside & when I'm finished with the room I'm in, I take it where it needs to be. That usually gets me interested in cleaning up whatever room I'm in second. It's worked wonders for me.

Sometimes I set the kitchen timer and make myself do one task until it beeps. That works pretty well and doesn't allow me to get off task while taking a break.
