Ever read a book that overall stinks but fills you with so much emotion, all you think is WOW?
This is exactly what I got out of this book, Once Upon a Time, There Was You by Elizabeth Berg! I wasn't in love with this book but for some reason all the dysfunction made me think about just the wife and mother I want to be and continue to be! Maybe I am just emotional but man I had to give it 4 stars even though I did NOT think it was anything spectacular!
1. How would you rate something like this...great because it moved me even though the emotions don't really have much to do with the "main" storyline or not great because it wasn't that good...
2. Have you had any books like this?

I've had a couple books like this. Poorly written or just a plot line filled with insanity that was completely disjointed, or if it was my friend instead of a fictional character I'd wrap her up and take her to rehab/the ER/the police, but for some reason I could not fall asleep until I'd finished it. And the sequel. And completed the trilogy.
I can't remember how I rated these, probably a 2 or a 3. I rarely finish books that I would have given a 1 so I have very few of these.
