Toronto

I am travelling with DH to Toronto this month and staying at the Courtyard Downtown.  I need recommendations for evening entertainment, such as restaurants and fun bars near there.  We definitely want to go to Marche one night.  We really like live country music if you know of any bars that have this.  =P   Crush Wine Bar looks interesting.  Has anyone been?  Thanks a bunch!

Re: Toronto

  • There are plenty of fun things to do in Toronto, depending on what you like. Some of the best activities/restaurants are:

    1. CN Tower - Go up and check out the view and eat at the restaurant (warning: expensive)
    2. Ripley's Aquarium - big, brand new and super fun
    3. Soma Chocolate - located in the beautiful distillery district. Get a hot chocolate and walk around.
    4. Toronto Maple Leafs game - Expensive, but worth it. Tons of fun! Canadians love our hockey.
    5. Keg Mansion - a typical Keg restaurant, but in a big old mansion that is rumored to be haunted.
    6. The ROM - huge, incredible museum. Give yourself at least 5 hours.

Crush is definitely a great place to go too. It's not wild, but they have great food and awesome wine.

Keep in mind that it is COLD in Toronto right now, like really cold (hence why I suggested so many indoor activities). Lately the weather has been -20 Celsius with the wind chill. Bring the warmest clothes you have. Have fun!!!

I haven't been since 2005 but they had the Second City comedy theater.  Something to check out, as I truly miss the one here in Detroit.

Guvernment night club if you like electronic music.

Wow I'm really late on this one....oh well - for whomever else ventures to Toronto....
