Tell me about your first time meeting a Nestie (gtg).
This Saturday I will be meeting my first internet Nestie friend! My babies are turning one (whaattttt) and she's driving to come visit!
I'm nervous I'll be too busy at the party to chat it up and she'll think I'm lame.

I met a former GP'er (princessleah) first at the RE. Then I invited her and her husband to a party we were having at our house in the fall. I donated my leftover meds to her (she's now almost in her third tri!). She just recently moved even closer to our neighborhood and we've been trying to get together for dinner but coordinating schedules hasn't been easy. Soon hopefully!

I met a couple knotties when I was out in Tucson for work. We met at a tiki bar, and had dinner/drinks. It was pretty nice since we had all 'known' each other for a year at that point. I haven't been back out there so I haven't seen them, but we've kept up with each other on fb.
I've met quite a few Nesties, some from GP. some from NBC. I've traveled with a couple of the NBC girls, and I chat with them almost every day. I'd love to meet more of my online friends, but life has been a bit busy lately.

I met some girls from my BMB at the zoo, then we met again at the park for a picnic. Everyone was super nice and it wasn't as awkward as I feared it would be. One girl seemed a lot shyer than her online persona, but other than that they were pretty much similar to how I pictured. And I don't think it really changed how I interacted with them online.
I also met someone from the nest when we were on vacation for dinner, drinks and ice cream. Again, we had a good time. Have fun!

I also dogsat for another Pets Nestie a couple of years ago while she and her family went to Disney. She's another FB friend, but I honestly feel closer to her dogs than I do to her, hahaha.

I met @lb1117 in November when we were both in Chicago for the weekend. Her, Mr. LB, and I talked for hours and had an amazing brunch. I can't wait to see her again in October!
I also met @skeedrake when I was in Cali in February, and we had a yummy cinnamon roll and coffee.
I love meeting nesties IRL. @saralynn7 is going to have me show up on her doorstep with the Hunger Games movies and wine one of these days, and @emyb is going to be kidnapped by one of us in October.

We all met at a restaurant. It was a couple years ago, so I don't remember too many details, but I do remember that I was wondering how we'd know who was who. Like would we introduce ourselves as our screen names? Things didn't really change (at least from my perspective) on-line other than just now knowing what they all looked like and who they were IRL. We still get together semi-regularly.
