WIJFR Love Letters to the Dead by Ava Dellaira NS
I actually finished this around 3 am yesterday morning. I couldn't sleep, so I ended up reading all night. This book was great. It reminded me in parts of The Sky is Everywhere and The Perks of Being a Wallflower. The book is written completely through letters to dead people, which started out as an English assignment. The main character, Laurel, writes to Kurt Cobain, River Phoenix, Jim Morrison, Amelia Earhart, Amy Winehouse, and several others. At first I didn't really want to read about all of the people that she was writing to, but it grew on me and I ended up loving how she could tie events in their lives to what was going on around her.
This story was sad in parts and typical teenager craziness in others, but it really struck a chord with me. It's worth a read if you like the other books I listed above!
