Did you go to prom? Did you have a good Time?

Re: qod 4/24

  • I went to both proms.

Jr. year I went with a friend from a different school, so I felt like I had to stay with him the whole night as he didn't know anyone. I had a TON of fun at the after party though! I also found out after that my Dad didn't like my "date" because he didn't open the car door for me.

I had the most fun at my Sr. prom. I went with a friend from my school who was a Jr., so he knew everyone and I didn't feel like I had to babysit him. I also wore fancy flipflops instead of heels and it was the best idea I've ever had. After we just went to one of my best friend's house and had a mellow but fun time.

  • Grade 12 yep...cept we dont have "prom" but have grad dinner/dance. The official (read dry) afterparty was on a party boat and that was def way more fun then the formal parts.
  • I went to junior year with my friends boyfriends best friend, it was really fun and he ended up kissing me at the end of the night but resulted in 16 year old heartbreak.

My senior year my mom called as the prom turns because I had like several dates , i broke up with my bf a month before, then I was going to go with someone else and then someone else brother, etc to finally this guy I had a major crush on for years out of nowhere called me a week before prom and was able to go with me but then he ended up getting back with his on/off again gf but still went to prom with me. We still managed to have a great time.   he ended up breaking up with her right before I went off to college so we started dating my freshmen year of college, which didn't last long due to distance.  haha. Oh high school drama!

  • yes I did go to my junior prom we didn't have a senior prom at my school but I went with a boy I really liked in H.S and my friends. I had a great time from what I can remember we dance and stayed late and we went to my friends boyfriends house at the time(now they are married) they started drinking but my date and I didn't and so we left and he took me home. It was a nice night.

  • I never went to prom. I was super shy in high school, so I didn't make many close friends. I refused to go by myself (without a date). I did go to a couple Christmas dances which were fun.

  • Our school had a Junior/Senior Prom and I was on the committee for both. It was pretty lame the first year but Senior year we had it at the Hard Rock Cafe in downtown Cleveland. I went with friends both years.

  • I went to Sr Prom, a whole bunch of us just went together as a group, nobody had official dates so to speak.  Then we all went bowling in our prom dresses and rented a hotel room and stayed up all night playing Nintendo and Sega.  It was a ton of fun.

  • I went to four proms. I went to an all girls' school and my boyfriend at the time went to our "brother school" so I went to my junior and senior proms and his junior and senior proms. They were all a good time. We dated for three years so of course, at the time, I thought they were the greatest nights of my life lol

  • I went to 3 proms. My junior (with my brothers friend brother- I think it was a set up) was fun, but super awkward as we had never really spoken to each other before that night.
He asked if I wanted to go to some party after, but I told him I was too tired- and then ran inside, grabbed my overnight bag, hopped in my car, and headed to a friends house. I think they saw me. Oh well.

My senior year I was dating a junior, so we went to both of our proms. My bff was also dating a junior, so the 4 of us went to both together. We did the up all night, all together, thing after their prom, but after ours, my bff and I *tried* to pull off our senior prank.

I'm pretty happy with all the memories, and experiences over all. :)

  • At my HS only Junior/Seniors were allowed to attend prom but if they asked a Freshman/Sophomore they were allowed to go. So I went to 3 proms my sophomore, junior, and senior years. The first prom I went to was waaaaay super awkward! I went with a guy that I had known for years but wasn't dating so it was weird and uncomfortable. Thankfully, a few of my friends in my grade were invited too so that made it more fun. At the afterparty, I ended up making out with someone else, oops!

Junior prom was a lot of fun went with my HS boyfriend so, of course, I thought it was the most amzing time of my life. The afterparty was a ton of fun too. Senior prom was with the same HS boyfriend and even though the dance itself sucked, I still have a lot of great memories from the night.

We had grad banquet and dance for grade 12. So 'senior prom' I guess. You got food and your families came, they stayed for the dance too. After grade was 'safe grad' (re: dry and parent planned) much like Katie's (us Canadians stick together). I did go. With my then boyfriend. It was fun. The after grad was an all night thing at the university bar in town (unlicensed for the event). Afterward by boyfriend and I went back to my BFF's and hung out with her and her boyfriend.

  • Our school planned an all-night after party for graduation, with fake casino, a hypnotist, lots of games, photo ops, dancing, etc.

I think there may have been a sponsored prom after party as well, but I don't remember that one nearly as well!

  • My school had a junior/senior prom that was combined, so I went to three proms. I went to my prom my junior year with a guy that I was dating that was ok, I went to my senior prom with H (he was a junior) and then his senior prom the following year. My senior prom was the best and we were dressed so awesome. Black with neon green B-)
