Oh my gosh, this book. I am gonna have a total book hangover from this one.
I was super excited when I saw this as my selection. I hadn't heard of it before, but based on the summary from Goodreads it seemed like it would be a book that was totally up my alley. I was also a little hesitant, because the reviews are fairly mixed. It seems like people either love it or hate it. I loved it. It was a bit predictable in its unpredictability. I say that meaning I always knew when a twist was about to come, but I was never quite sure what it would be. Though I think it was a bit far fetched at times, I totally believed it. I also thought that Kate, Amelia, and even Sylvia and Dylan to some extent were characters that I could sympathize with. I definitely bought into their stories.
I thought the comparisons to Gillian Flynn's books that I've seen on Goodreads, particularly the comparison to Gone Girl, are a bit off. Though I love the two Gillian Flynn books I've read, and I also loved this book, I didn't necessarily see the comparison.
I listened to the audiobook version, and I thought the narrator did a great job. Thanks to whoever made this recommendation.
