We got it!
So after a decently long day yesterday, we got the house we put the offer in on. We offered Friday morning, and they countered by Friday afternoon and gave us until noon Saturday to do something with the counter. My realtor set up a second showing so we went and took another look. Then our realtor told us about another house that had just hit the market that day. It looked great, so we decided we'd look at it yesterday morning. It was great! So we let our offer expire on the other house and offered on the second house. Turns out the listing agent on that second house had been showing it like crazy that morning and they had multiple offers. They didn't accept ours. Which was kinda a bummer cause it was a great house. So we reoffered on the original house in the middle of the afternoon yesterday and by 6 they'd accepted it! We have a house! Conditionally.... We have to get our financing approved. Which I'm sure it will. My hubby qualified for the current mortgage and extensive line of credit by himself, so it will be no problem for us to qualify for a lesser mortgage together after paying out the line of credit and mortgage by selling our current house.
We're excited. Still got a nice house. Will definitely be able to make it home.
