Lucifer's Hammer by Larry Niven .....ok, it's an odd choice. It's a disaster/apocalyptic/scifi book. But I always read it on my first trip of the summer, which is usually a camping trip. So it fits. If I were going to the beach next week, I'd probably choose camping on Assateague Island anyway.
Then I'd grab some Danielle Steel books that I have waiting for me to read. I hear they are pretty easy reading and I grabbed a bunch of random ones at a book bazaar a few weeks ago on the cheap.
my read shelf:
“Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?" "That depends a good deal on where you want to get to." "I don't much care where –" "Then it doesn't matter which way you go.”

Thanks for this post! I'm leaving for the beach tomorrow and it reminded me that I have The Bungalow on my bookshelf! My mom gave it to me years ago and it's now in my carry on! Perfect timing!
