I need some advice, ladies. I am currently casually looking for another job. I'm not really in a position where "I HAVE TO GET OUT NOW OR SO HELP ME I WILL GO CRAZY" but I am definitely getting there. I'm not applying for just any old job so I probably won't find anything immediately.
My question is: Should I let my managers know that I am kinda looking for something else? I work in a smaller place so everyone is fairly close. I plan to continue being friends with my managers after I leave and I am afraid that if don't tell them until I have to give my two weeks that it might upset them. But at the same time, I don't know if telling them now will ultimately threaten my current position with the company. And it's not my managers that I am worried about but their manager...because I am pretty sure they will have to tell him if I tell them. Does that makes sense? Am I just over-thinking it?

Re: NGPR: Job Searching
"I DO NOT love that you think so many things revolve around you. I know you're bitter. I get it. But I'm over your feelings." The best person on the internet ever!
As a side note, I think, as women, we tend to care too much about hurt feelings when we leave a job. If it were a guy, they typically could careless and do whatever was best for their career. I try to always keep that in mind, which has helped.
GL with whatever you decide and with the job hunt!

That's a big fear for me. The job market around here isn't the greatest and even though I don't plan on staying at my current job forever, I definitely don't want to lose it until I am ready.
