Most/least favorite book in April
Best and worst read of the month...
What made it so amazing or disappointing?
Best - The Darlings by Cristina Alger - the best of a blah month so only 3 stars. But the author's attention to detail made it above average.
Worst - The Full Moon Bride by Shoban Bantwal - an interesting idea, but very poorly written. More of a skim than a read.

Best: Nothing to Envy by Barbara Demick
Worst: Let's Pretend This Never Happened by Jenny Lawson

Best: I can't decide between Jackdaws and Rose under Fire. Both were excellent.

Best - My Beloved World - it was really interesting.
Worst - Happier at Home - I just couldn't connect to it at all.
Kate's Recipe Box || Relatively Bookish
Worst: The Grapes of Wrath...ugh I am doing this for SBC for the reread and now I remember why I did not enjoy the book in high school. Still slugging through it.

Worst: Orange is the New Black. It's probably my fault but I expected it to be more entertaining but I think she was going for a commentary on the prison system. I also didn't like the writing style and the editing could have used some work. And I'm pretty laid back on that type of stuff.
BFP 1/8/11 - U/S 2/24/11 (11wks) no heartbeat measuring 6w1d - D&C 2/28/11
Worst: The People in the Trees. I think I was just expecting so much more. It was all sort of predictable and uninspired, though the writing was fantastic. I gave it 3 stars, so while it was the worst that I read all month, it really wasn't too bad.
Sugar & Spice
Worst : Kaleidoscope by Danielle Steel It wasn't bad, just not my usual style. It was a fast and easy read though.
“Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?"
"That depends a good deal on where you want to get to."
"I don't much care where –"
"Then it doesn't matter which way you go.”
― Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland
Best: I Am Legend: Richard Matheson. I gave 3 stars, but it was the best out of the five I read in April.
Worst: Sisterhood Everlasting: Ann Brashares. I really enjoyed these books. They were a fun read, until I came to this last book. I was very sad at the way this series ended.

Worst: The Infinite Moment of Us by Lauren Myracle (I really love her books and was so so disappointed by this one.)

my read shelf:
Worst-Intensity by Dean Koontz-it started out good but then just became utterly ridiculous
my read shelf:
Worst: Love and Lies: Marisol's Story by Ellen Wittlinger -- horrible. The story was so predictable and the characters were not likable. This was also the worst narration of any audiobook I've ever listened to. I was pissed to realize that I bought this in an audible sale more than a year ago. If I'd not waited so long to listen, I could have returned it for something else.

Worst - Chose the Wrong Guy, Gave Him the Wrong Finger - it wasn't bad and I was looking for something light and fun, but I felt like it dragged on and on and the ending was predictable.
Best was Morning Glory by Sarah Jio. Loved the story, another great book by her.
Worst was Snowblind by Christopher Golden. Didn't like the story, didn't find it scary.
Best was The Rosie Project - I loved everything about this book.
Worst was Come Away with Me by Kristin Proby (free Kindle read). It was a case of insta-love, with pretty much no drama at all. They meet, fall in love immediately, knock boots like bunnies, and then it's over. They do have a couple paragraphs of misunderstanding that are cleared up immediately, but there just wasn't any conflict and it got boring fast. Even romances need conflict in the story arc!
Worst - (I only had 3 and 4 stars this month! Wow!) Rebel Belle by Rachel Hawkins. It's wasn't bad. I just wasn't wowed.

Worst: Tangled Beauty by Kristen Middleton. I felt like the author crammed a lot into the book. It was also just a little too predictable for me.
Best - The Museum of Extraordinary Things by Alice Hoffman. This was an amazing, imaginative book. Descriptions of historical events, such as the Triangle Shirtwaist Fire, were utterly fascinating.
Worst - Spellbound by Sylvia Day. Hated it. Boring and uninspired.
