#201 Girl: Celeste - Meaning of Celeste: "heavenly" Origin of Celeste: Latin Celeste's Popularity in 2012: #470 NMS, but it is okay.

#201 Boy: Ryan - Meaning of Ryan: "little king" Origin of Ryan: Irish Ryan's Popularity in 2012: #26 Solid name

#320 Girl: Gwendolyn - Meaning of Gwendolyn: "white ring" Origin of Gwendolyn: Variation of Gwendolen, Welsh Gwendolyn's Popularity in 2012: #514 Not a fan

#320 Boy: Jeremiah - Meaning of Jeremiah: "appointed by God" Origin of Jeremiah: Hebrew Jeremiah's Popularity in 2012: #52 Nice name. A bit long though.

#331 Girl: Aoife - Pronunciation: EE-fa Meaning of Aoife: "beautiful, radiant" Origin of Aoife: Irish Gaelic I really dislike this name. Additionally I do not like the traditional Gaelic spellings. Every time I see them I have to stop and think "How the F do I pronounce that again?" I would go with Eva.

#331 Boy: Vaughn - Meaning of Vaughn: "small" Origin of Vaughn: Welsh Vaughn's Popularity in 2012: #873 I don't mind this name. Not my favorite, but a good name. I have a hard time imagining it on a baby though.

I could hold you for a million years
To make you feel my love.
  • Celeste - Pretty, but I wouldn't use it.
Gwendolyn - Love it, but my mom's name is Wendy and people call her Wendolyn, so I don't think we'd use it.
Aoife - SIL literally begged us to use this. I said I would never name my child something that she #1 had to correct people on the pronunciation of every day and #2 would have to spell for people every time she said her name. It sounds pretty, but I think it's cruel unless you're in Ireland.

    Ryan - Too common.
    Jeremiah - Bullfrog. No thanks.
Vaughn - NMS but I wouldn't judge for someone else.

  • Celeste - I definitely used to love this name. I still like it, but it's not as high on my list anymore.
Gwendolyn - Very pretty, but I like other names that are similar to it just a little more
Aoife - I think it's beautiful, but a little too "strange" for US use; probably best for that one to stay in Ireland.

Ryan - Way too common for my liking
Jeremiah - I kinda like it, and it's nicknames (Jem/Jemmy) could be cute. DH would never go for it, though.
Vaughn - Good name, just not my style.
