GTKY: Dates

What is your favorite date you had with your H? Were you married yet?

Re: GTKY: Dates

  • Probably our first one. Which was also the first time we'd met face to face. Started with coffee, played pool, went to a movie, then sat in his truck for hours and talked. It was great. We learned a lot about each other that night and the conversation was so easy. I knew he was something special.

Other fave 'date', he surprised me with a trip to go to a football game for my birthday. Flights, hotel, tickets. It was awesome. We had a great weekend away. We were living together at that point, it was a lot of fun.

I'm really a fan of dinner and a movie (in or out).

  • Well my favorite "date' of all time was San Diego trip, we just moved in together and somehow had some money to be able to take this amazing trip, we did everything possible there and just was amazing.

Now, I love when we go into the city and walk around with our pup and grab some lunch.

I don't know that I would call it a "date", more of a trip before we were married and before Tim left for overseas, we took a day trip to Mackinac Island. It was a beautiful day and we spent the whole time riding bikes and enjoying being together!

Oh, I thought of a another one :) For our one year anniversary I surprised Tim with a sunset boat ride in Mackinaw City (where he proposed). It was the absolute best! Even though there were other people on the boat, it felt like it was just us. As we were heading back to shore, 'Can't Get Enough of Your Love' by Barry White started playing which happened to be the song we walked out to after we were married. Everything about that night was absolutely perfect!

  • My absolute favorite is probably our first "date." We went to a party together, and he was so chivalrous. While we were there he had his arm around me. Then we both decided to leave and walk back to his place. He insisted on walking closest to the road because there was no sidewalk. Then we stayed up the whole night talking (and making out), but mostly talking. That was the beginning of the end for me.

  • It was our first official "date" even though we had been together a while we still never had an official date it was mostly hanging out at his house or my apartment. It was a Valentine's Day date and he picked me up and brought flowers. Then we went to a movie to see "Valentine's Day" and then he took me to dinner at my favorite place. Then we went back to his place where he had rose petals all over the floor (fake). He also had wine and chocolate covered strawberries. It was so sweet and I could tell he put lots of thought into it.
