WIJFR - Wish You Were Italian - YA (ns)

I loved this book! It was so sweet and fun and come on, this was the setting for much of it:

It had real characters with real problems and real relationships (oh and cute boys.) The descriptions of Italy were just right (I assume, "correct") - just enough to give you a mental image but not too many wordy, paragraphs. A little love, a little drama but all realistic. Pippa, the main character, was likeable and very much like your normal teenage

This is book number 2 in a series, which I didn't know, but I believe it can be a stand alone novel without a problem.

If you like sweet YA fiction, read this now!

I LOVED THIS BOOK SO HARD! It sucked me in, and I finished in a day. Then I let my daughter borrow the ARC, and she tore through it almost as quickly. BTW, DD is a reluctant reader and STILL hasn't finished reading Alienated...which her own mother wrote! So it says a lot that she finished Wish You Were Italian in less than a week.

(Disclaimer, I know the author because we're in the Class of 2k14 debut group together, but I'm not exaggerating my love for WYWI.)

I'm about 1/3 of the way through this one. I can't wait until my lunch break so I can get back to it. It's been 9 years since my trip to Italy and it's making me want to return!
