TFIOS article in Entertainment Weekly

http://insidemovies.ew.com/2014/04/30/the-fault-in-our-stars-cover-story/

Ugh. It is *not* a good sign that I'm crying while reading an article about the movie, huh?

Aside from all that obvious stuff, I want to say that I'm not fully convinced about the actor they chose for Gus. And I didn't realize, until reading this article, that he played Tris' brother in the Divergent movie. Now I'm even less convinced. What, are there only 2 actors in Hollywood, and the other one was busy? I guess I'll wait and see if I'm proven wrong when I see the movie.

Also, it seems like Shailene Woodley is a bit of a bubblehead. She gave Ansel Elgort a brown paper bag, and told him not to open it until she said it was ok. (She wanted to surprise him, a la Gus to Hazel in the story.) She didn't tell him to open it for days.... and there was a cheese and tomato sandwich in it. WTF?

I am reserving judgement of this movie until I actually see it. John Green seems to think the cast is amazing. So I will trust his judgement and really hope I love the movie as much as the book.
  • Did you see what she said about feminism? *headsmack* I'll cut her some slack because she's young, but yeesh, girl.
My favorite place on earth: The Amargosa Valley.

She strikes me as not being the brightest bulb in the box.  Everything I've seen with her and about her has been a little off.  I just hope she's learned how to be a better actress since the TV show she was in.
