Inexpensive but great camera

What are some great quality digital cameras that are easy to use and have zooming and other functions. I will be using these pics to make prints.

Thanks!

  • Cannon power shot is my favorite point and shoot. I go for ones with a rechargeable battery pack vs AA batteries. It takes less time between pictures and you don't need to buy batteries.

  • I have a Nikon Coolpix that my husband bought me a few years ago. The shutter speed on this thing is awesome and we've been very happy with it--it has lots of features like panoramic shots, multi-shots, recording. We had initially bought it because it was a waterproof camera and I wanted something that I could use to take photos while snorkeling/scuba diving. It's become my go-to camera for everyday.
  • My favorite is the Nikon Coolpix.

I see different models. Do you happen to know which one you have?

This is the one my H has and loves it.

This is similar to the one I have had for 5 years now.  It takes gorgeous pictures for a point and shoot, and is at a great price point.

H's is starting to act up (he's had his for 7 years), and I really want to replace it with this one but it's a bit pricey now that we use our phone cameras so much.

I actually use the Nikon D3100 SLR as my camera while traveling and with family.  It's bulky, but was worth every penny.

  • Not...Not...NOT... the Nikon Coolpix L27.  It's their lower end Coolpix camera and is complete junk.  I just wasted $70 on it a couple months ago and I absolutely hate it.  It has no image stabilization and, even if you hold it really still, pics still often come out blurry.  The colors come out weird also sometimes.  Unfortunately, when I tried to return it, apparently I only had 14 days instead of the usual 30 days.  So I'm stuck with this paper weight.

Now I have to bite the bullet and buy ANOTHER camera, because I need a camera that takes clear pictures for my part-time job.  In the words of Judge Milian from People's Court, "The cheap comes out expensive."  And I'm super pissed about it.  Oddly enough, it had tons of good reviews on Walmart's website.  So perplexing.  IDK, maybe it is okay for taking casual shots...but I don't think it is any good even for that.  It is definitely sub-par for trying to take pictures of details, like words on a sign.
