As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. Teacher gifts...
Does anybody do an end of the year gift? If so, what are you getting? Dd's preschool class has a teacher and an aid. Would you get them both an equal gift? Like if you got a gift card, would you get the same amount for both?

Her preschool teacher was an amazing girl/teacher who left to teach kindergarten so she was amazing to have had for 2 years. She was dd's favorite daycare worker and that definitely factored into how much we gave her.
We do it around Thanksgiving - a "giving thanks" gift to the preschool teacher and the 3 baby room teachers (same amt for the two f/t, and a smaller amt for the p/t one), bc it frees up the craziness of holiday gift giving.
At Christmas this past year, I brought in a pizza lunch for the entire staff, along with a veggie and cookie tray, so that everyone could benefit since a lot of them interacted with my kids in one way or another (plus our dc has an Admin staff, too).
With it being Teacher Appreciation week right now, we had one parent email all of the parents about chipping in for a catered staff lunch. I'm kind of perturbed by it bc this particular parent is "in" with the owners and Admin of the dc, so I thought it was a bit much... but, she was only asking $5 contribution so I'll leave my $ at the front desk (even though other parents jumped in saying they would give $20 and $40).
Money is tight right now as we're closing on a house in a few weeks and the one toddler room teacher is having a baby in July and will be leaving after that so I plan to give her something on my own then.
