Going out for Mother's Day?
Is anyone going out for Mother's Day and if yes, where?
My mom and dad are visiting this weekend and I am narrowing down places to take them for either brunch or dinner. It looks like the casino is doing a nice buffet. Has anyone ever been to the casino buffet? How is it?
Springfield Grill is always an option and I'm also considering The Porch to show a place that is local to where we live.
Re: Going out for Mother's Day?
We don't go out for Mother's Day, mostly to avoid the crowds. We have been going out for lunch the day before with both of our families - usually somewhere central since one family is North and one is South. (It's almost always The Claddaugh in South Side Works.)
I like the idea of going to The Porch, somewhere local to where you live.
Probably either La Capella or Atria's in Fox Chapel.
Not that I am anticipating. I usually had to work the hotel's buffet, in years past, so I was raking in the dough instead of spending it!
I've never heard of The Porch, but I like that idea bc it's not a chain and is somehting local to you.
My three sons!
They did seem to enjoy it. I mean, the food options were huge (this was the Sheraton Four Points in Cranberry) and while it's one big banquet room of people, it was well organized with the reservation times. I know the Marriott in Cranberry also has a buffet but, from what I heard last year from patrons, their buffet was not as extensive and it was more expensive.
