Flynn is the only one I would consider using. Everything else is too common or too Disney for my taste.

  • I like Sebastian the best, but it reminds me more of Cruel Intentions than Disney. Either way, I don't like the association.

Flynn maybe, Sebastian is ok but Icouldn't use it because I know a few people who named their sons Sebastian.

The rest are too Disney-esque :) ETA except Eric, I just know a lot of Eric's. Good name though!

Sebastian - Meaning of Sebastian: "person from ancient city of Sebasta" Origin of Sebastian: Latin from Greek Sebastian's Popularity in 2012: #64 - NMS.  One of my coworkers named her son this (nn Bassie).  He's too cute.

Flynn - Meaning of Flynn: "son of the red-haired one" Origin of Flynn: Irish Flynn's Popularity in 2012: #692 - Hmmmm...I kind of like this one, but I would get a big fat no from DH.

Ariel - I knew a really weird girl with this name, so no. Pretty name though.

Jasmine - Pretty, but it's my cousin's name.

Nala - I used to have a cat with this name, and it's NMS for a potential kid's name.

    Sebastian - NMS.

    Flynn - Cute, but NMS.

Eric - Nice name, but too many bad associations for me.

  • Ariel is pretty, but I probably couldn't use it for a first name.
Jasmine is a beautiful name, but too "exotic" for me to get away with as a person's name (sister named her cat this, though)
Nala...probably not. Though I'm sure other people have used it since Halle Berry used it for her daughter's name.

Sebastian is DH's top boy name (it was his grandfather's name); it's grown on me a little bit.
Flynn is meh. I'm just not a huge fan in general
    Eric is too common.
