Need Some Good Vibes...
As I mentioned in the Happy Friday post, I'm flying back to Rochester on Sunday and I defend my thesis on Tuesday. I'm so happy to finally close this chapter of my life, but I'm terrified at the same time! I know that I know more about my thesis project than any other faculty member on my thesis committee, but it's still terrifying knowing that the can throw any question they want at me. This is how it will go down on Tuesday:
11am: Public Seminar (open to anyone who wants to listen)
12:15ish - Closed door session with my committee. Basically 5 faculty members (and their big egos) can ask me whatever they want.
2:30 - Hopefully, my closed door won't take more than 2 hours, and I'll come out at Dr. Nic, Ph.D.
3:30 - Exit interview with the Dean of Graduate Studies
6:30 - Dinner reservations with DH and my mom...and all the alcohol I can get my hands on, haha!
Good vibes are very much appreciated for the next few days!
