So I've worked my way through 18 SK books, and besides reading his new ones as they come out, I'm trying to figure out what else I need to check off the list.  Below are the ones I've read.  What are the top 5 next SK books I need to read?

    Bag of Bones is in my top 3 SK books ... and probably my top 5 books of all time. I absolutely love it.

    OH I SUCK AT READING POSTS. Ugh. 

    Ok. So now I'll say Pet Sematary. And The Long Walk. (Especially with how popular dystopian stuff is these days - that one fits right in.)

    The Long Walk is incredible!!!  (It was originally published under the name Richard Bachman.)

    You're right - I think it's published under the Bachman Books now - 4 or 5 novellas? Including Rage and maybe The Running Man. *Definitely* pick up that anthology; all of those novellas are amazing, if I'm remembering the mix correctly.

    Yes, that's what I was remembering - apparently they're not published together like this any longer; you have to buy them separately, from what I can tell, unless you pick up the combo book at the library or a used book store. 

    oooh, I need to re-read those. Man, SK is a sick fucker, and I love him so hard.

    I found this book on Etsy of all places.  Once SK told me RAGE was out of print and I wouldn't be able to get my hands on it- it became my mission to find it and read it.

    I just checked, and my public library has it - they're such rebels! Lol. I am now dying to re-read those.

    I would add Insomnia and The Eyes of the Dragon to your list, especially if you liked The Dark Tower series.  Rose Madder is an underappreciated SK, IMO, and I loved it.

    @84Lauren Sorry- I missed this post! I think everyone hit the main ones!  I adore Misery. It is so SK.  Duma Key is another must!  Green Mile, and all his short story collections. Some of his best work is included in those bad boys!  Four Past Midnight includes one of my favorites- The Library Police!

    I missed this on the first go-round too! 

    Misery really is one of the best, I've come back to it over and over. 

    I really like Firestarter although I haven't read it for a long time, I just remember enjoying it. 

    June's right, Four Past Midnight is SO GOOD and has The Langoliers which I think is among the best. 

    I also love the novella collection Different Seasons- it has the story Shawshank Redemption was based on.

    Night Shift is probably my favorite short story collection. It includes Quitter's Inc which has stuck with me since I read it in middle school. Same with Strawberry Springs and The Bogeyman. 

    Duma Key is one of his newer ones that reads like his older ones. I thought it was legit scary.

    I know June will disagree, but I have read Lisey's Story twice and really enjoyed it.
