Splash lagoon?

Anyone gone there? Thoughts? We were thinking of taking a day trip this weekend to take dd for her bday. I thought I've heard good things about it. But I was reading trip advisor and the bad reviews are making me rethink. They aren't terrible and there are certainly good reviews too. But it's a decent drive and decent amount of money so I would rather not have it be a bust!

We've only ever done one other indoor water park...fallsview in Niagara Falls. Dd had fun but I wasn't a huge fan because it wasn't really all that warm and the water was freezing. Otherwise it was ok I guess.

We've been twice. The kids liked it a lot and have asked when we're going back. We haven't been to any other indoor waterparks, so I can't make any comparisons.

The smaller kid area is nice for DS. He's comfortable in the water but can't quite swim. He loves the slides and I love that I can just sit and watch him play. DD and DH both enjoy the water slides - I think there are three or four that she is big enough to go on. (DS isn't interested).

They both like the hot tubs and the wave pool. Overall the water is comfortable in all of the attractions, although sometimes they are cold after 15-20 minutes in the hot tub, so we try to only do that before a food break.

The food in the venue isn't awesome, but it isn't bad. There is a nicer restaurant attached to it. You can't go in swimsuits, but you can get there without going outside.

We've used the arcade as well, but if you'll only be there for one day I wouldn't bother. Better to focus your time on the water park.
