    1) What were you doing/Where were you in the year 1995?  High school.  I finished my sophomore year, so I still couldn't drive.  I was dating an abusive douchebag.  Not a good year.

    2) 2000?  In undergrad, living at home with mom and dad and commuting to school.  Met my DH and started dating him.  Good times.

    3) 2005? Graduated law school and graduate school, took and passed two bar exams, moved into second apartment with DH, got engaged on Christmas Eve.

    4) 2010?  Ah, our last year without kids.  Lots and lots of long-weekend vacations and general slacking off and having fun while we could.  Some discussion of how we'd be totally content to not have kids and continue on with this fun lifestyle if that was the way that it worked out . . .
  • 1) What were you doing/Where were you in the year 1995? 4th grade - I had an awesome teacher and we were doing a history unit about WW2. She had a piano in the classroom and was teaching us to sing a lot of the songs that were popular doing the war. I loved that so much.
    2) 2000? Just about the end of freshman year of HS. I was in Disney for the Millennium Dreamers celebration right around now.
    3) 2005? Finishing up my sophomore year of college and moving into my off-campus apartment. I started interning with my company soon too!
    4) 2010? Waiting to close on our new house, getting ready to celebrate 1 year of marriage and I had just started making an effort to learn to cook better.
  • 1) 1995 - 5th grade so it was my first year of middle school. Nothing super exciting that I remember about 5th grade

    2) 2000 - By this point in 2000 I was finishing off my sophmore year of HS, I had my learner's permit and had already driven a fair amount but I still had a few more months to wait before I could take the driver's test (stupid 6 month waiting period). I had also just started dating the guy who would be my HS/freshman year of college boyfriend.

    3) 2005 - Finished up my junior year of college, getting ready for my senior year. This would be the summer I worked at a zoo (soo much fun) and it would also be the summer I would break my hand horseback riding and have to have surgery including 2 permanent screws to fix the bone.

    4) 2010 - Living in Baltimore with my husband, we had almost been married for 1 year. I was working as a nanny and he was a public school teacher.
  • 1) What were you doing/Where were you in the year 1995? Working full time.  Apt/house hunting with my boyfriend at the time.

    2) 2000?  Living alone in my condo and working two jobs.

    3) 2005?  Selling my condo and moving in with DH (we were engaged at the time).

    4) 2010?  Pretty much the same place I am in now.
    90 books in 2015?

  • 1) 1995 - I was 10 and in grade 4 or 5.
    2) 2000 - grade 10. Started dating my husband.
    3) 2005 - graduating college, got engaged, living at home
    4) 2010 - basically the same as now, sans kid.

    1) What were you doing/Where were you in the year 1995? Meeting my future husband in middle school
    2) 2000? graduating high school then going to community college where my future husband and I became enemies.
    3) 2005? leaving my job as a live in nanny to go back to college.  Got a job at Borders.
    4) 2010? :)) Getting married in a blizzard and almost dying short later with severe anemia.  I spend the next two years getting weekly infusions of iron to keep me alive.  Yay!  2010 was a rough year.  Yes, we got married and that was amazing.  But my father in law died in the summer of that year pretty unexpectedly.

  • 1995 - getting ready for middle school? Finished 7th grade? I'm getting years mixed.

2000? Finished Junior year. Blasting tunes in my red car, running the dance team, and working tons at Lonestar. I loved that year I think.

2005? - I will meet my future husband in exactly two days. I quit my job (maybe exactly today!) and said yes to my roommate who was about to leave on an impromptu trip to central Illinois.

2010? - enjoying married life. Busy with dog and husband, new house.

    1) What were you doing/Where were you in the year 1995? Living in the Phoenix area and in 5th grade. Still subjected to only attending schools my parents taught at.
    2) 2000? Living in West Michigan. Sophomore/Junior year of HS. Finally in a school without my parents! Started dating DH.
    3) 2005? Had dropped out of college by this point (stupid money) and was living with my parents working full time as a manager in fast food. Not the proudest time of my life.
    4) 2010? Married and in our house for a year. Nothing terribly remarkable about 2010.

  • 1) What were you doing/Where were you in the year 1995?
May of 2005 I was closing out my junior year in high school. I was making the decision to not do dance team my senior year, and this was a very good decision for Teen Jess.

    2) 2000?
May of 2000 I was done with my 4th year of college as a Communications major, but I still had one more year because I was on the 5-year plan. I was living in my sorority house and I had been dating my future husband for almost 2 years.

    3) 2005?
May of 2005 I was a few months away from marrying my husband, and I was living with my parents until the wedding. I was working some hodgepodge freelance/restaurant jobs as I finished my first year back in school to get my teaching credential.

    4) 2010?
Posting that random post that popped back up the other day. LOL
Married, teaching high school and loving my job (*sob*), trying to be a writer, having lots of Personal Drama.

  • May 1995 - Getting ready to end my sophomore year of HS and listening to lots of No Doubt, Bush, Boyz II Men, and Blackstreet. Probably rereading To Kill a Mockingbird because that was the year I fell in love with that book.

May 2000 - Dating my now ex-husband, working as a waitress and going to community college, planning to move from LA to Ventura that summer.

May 2005 - I was a single mom of an almost two year old, I had just moved into my very first apartment and going through the beginnings of cancer. Seriously questioned if I could ever be happy again.

May 2010 - In a super good place, totally healthy and in remission, made a bunch of awesome friends, and was moving up in my company where I'm now the director. I think I was planning a trip to Vegas with @Young_Love around then too. #awwww

1995: I was in 5th grade, I think? I really liked my teacher and the big exciting thing that happened that year was a class trip to Philly to see the liberty bell and other historic sites. It was probably one of the best class trips I went on.

2000: finishing up freshman year of HS. I was starting to get involved in a lot more clubs in school and I started dating the first real boyfriend I ever had. That was a pretty good time.

2005: I had finished sophomore year of college. I sort of wasted that summer messing around and working for my dad. I so regret not looking into studying abroad or something which I really wanted to do. I also had a really stupid boyfriend at the time. I dated a lot of guys I regret dating in college! (Until senior year when I met DH)

2010: living with DH in our little townhouse, 1 day from getting married (so actually I was staying at the hotel the night before with my bridesmaids and probably just leaving the rehearsal dinner). Also, we were finalizing details for getting my sweet
puppy, Cooper! Ah, what great times!

    2) 2000? Working for the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. Driving between Atlanta and Rock Hill to see my then (now ex) FI periodically.

    3) 2005? Dating the last guy I dated before I met DH at the end of that year.  Working at Ticketmaster then back at the ASO again.  At the tail end of my graduate work at Georgia State.

    4) 2010? Married and living in BFE VA, working at a therapeutic boarding school and getting involved in the local theatre.

1995 - Let's see. I was closing out my sophomore year in high school. I was probably rocking out to some Nirvana, STP, L7, Alice in Chains. I got my first tattoo that summer.

2000 - I was stationed in Quantico, VA. I was a Corporal in the Marine Corps. DH (boyfriend at the time) and I had just moved into a tiny loft apartment in Fredericksburg, VA.

2005 - Back in Delaware. Working as a PC Tech at a hospital by the beach. I started going back to college for Nursing at this time as well. I had been married for 2 years and had 2 dogs.
