Reading Lottery: Wonder (sp)

I was matched with Wonder by RJ Palacio for the reading lottery.  It wasn't something that I think I'd have picked up if it weren't suggested.  It was a quick read, though I wouldn't go as far to say light, considering the subject matter.

Auggie was a really fun character.  It was amazing to watch him grow from a shy introvert into someone who felt like could conquer the world.  I felt like the supporting characters were just as open and honest.  His family caught between protecting August and allowing him to become a stronger person.  I loved Jack Will.  I loved his honesty and I felt it was an accurate depiction of what it was like to be caught between being popular and being true to himself.  I adored Summer.  She was so fresh and light.

Thanks for the suggestion, it was heartwarming.
