Early TTC Check In!

Good morning lovelies! I'm posting this early because I've been having issues getting on TN at work lately. I think Big Brother is on to me! :-P

Where are you at in your TTC journey?

Any testing in the upcoming week?

What's going on in your life?

Any FFC's, UO's AW's?

QOTW: Do you have pets? Tell me about them!

Re: Early TTC Check In!

  • Where are you at in your TTC journey? Cycle 9 -- CD18, possibly 2 DPO...

Any testing in the upcoming week? nope.

What's going on in your life? My mom just sold my childhood home... she makes settlement on Friday. We just went in yesterday and packed up the last of our stuff. It's bittersweet for sure. Sooo many memories there. I hope a nice family gets it and creates their own fond memories there.

Any FFC's, UO's AW's? Nothing that I can think of. I'm very boring, lol.

QOTW: Do you have pets? Tell me about them! I have 2 cats, Eastwood and Josey; and a Guinea Pig, Piggins. (So creative, I know.)
Eastwood was a rescue that I adopted in May 2010, he is now ~10 years old. He's my little love bug. He loves nothing more than laying around with us and being loved. Josey will be 3 in July; he's my little slipper. He loves to lay flat on his back with his legs splayed out and looks like a cat slipper in the meantime... I guess it's a ragdoll thing? lol. Piggins is my senior citizen pig; he is ~8 years old. I've had him in my care since 2008 when I rescued him from a less than optimal situation. He was the first of 3 that I've had since 08, and now he's the final one. He blossomed so much over the last couple of years and I'm glad that he's doing well on his own. He loves bell peppers and cherry tomatoes.
  • Where are you at in your TTC journey? Today is day 6 of the first cycle of us TTC again. It feels weird to know next month we started TTC a year ago, but haven't tried that whole time so it doesn't really count. It's just weird to say.

Any testing in the upcoming week? Not this week

What's going on in your life? (loss mentioned) Not too much. This Saturday was my EDD and DH and I are going to set off paper lanterns for our baby.

Any FFC's, UO's AW's?  Confession: I've been working second shift to train the new second shift person and I HATE it. I am a morning person so even though I can sleep later, I wake up my normal time and sit around doing nothing till I go to work.

QOTW: Do you have pets? Tell me about them!
We have a mixed breed named Breezy. She is 2 years old. We adopted her from the dog warden. She was a stray. She is a cuddle bug, unless she sees a rabbit or squirrel. This is her cuddling with me this morning before I went to work.

  • Hi @nightmare_of_beauty‌!!! I'm sorry you have to be back here ... But glad that I'm not all by myself lol
Paper lanterns sound like a beautiful way to honor the memory of your LO. (Hugs)

I'm the same way about being a morning person; I recently got scolded for being too early for work (who actually DOES that?) so I putz around the house for an extra hour every morning and try to not think of all the shit I could be getting done at work. I just canNOT manage to sleep in. Ever. How much longer must you train the newbie on 2nd?
  • Thanks, hopefully we'll both have good news soon.

Thankfully tomorrow is the last day & I'm back to my mornings! My boss doesn't care if I'm like 10 minutes early, but I live 0.4 miles from work. Maybe if the weaher is good I'll walk tomorrow.

  • I'm posting mobile so please excuse any funkiness that may be going on.

Where are you at in your TTC journey?
We are 19 days post m/c and who knows how many days pre- or post- o.

Any testing in the upcoming week?
I'm so confused. I got some OPKs on Monday and took one Tuesday morning. The line was as dark as the test line. Then it was again Tuesday night, Wednesday morning, and this morning. I was concerned that it could have been leftover pregnancy hormones so I took a FRER to make sure the OPKs weren't false positives and sure enough the FRER was negative. I'll test OPK tomorrow morning again and I'm hoping it's definitely negative. Otherwise I'm lost on what my body is doing...not that I expected it to be normal this month anyway.

What's going on in your life?
We're putting in an offer on a house tomorrow. I'm a little scared and anxious based on our last experience but we found a great house in our absolute favorite location.

    Any FFC's, UO's AW's?
Not particularly but did want to continue the convo from last week. @LuckyAngel07‌ - If my OPKs are true this week, then I'm not having my usual CM signs. It's the exact opposite of what I would consider normal on a cycle - maybe that's how you were successful? :) Just a thought.
Anyone else have experience with their CM being extremely different in the weeks following a loss? Again, not like I expect my body to do anything normal right now.

QOTW: Do you have pets? Tell me about them!
We don't but we will as soon as we have a house. I've had to stop DH multiple times from getting our puppy but we aren't allowed to have them in our apt. Not that I care about that because there are dogs that were 'grandfathered' into the current policy, so it's not like the building is pet-free but my bigger concern is a puppy chewing the wall or something I can't exactly say is normal wear and tear when we move out. :)

I hope everyone has a happy Friday and great weekend! We're busy like usual but may have to celebrate an accepted house offer so it could be fun.

    Cycle 5 month 7

Any testing in the upcoming week? Nope

What's going on in your life? Started a new job as a vet tech last Wednesday and have already put in 72 hours *sigh* hoping the hours go to what I was originally told when hired when two of the employees, that are full time students, start working more next week. This job is why I've been a bit inactive the past two weeks, hoping to play catch up this weekend in between all the chores around the house.

    Any FFC's, UO's AW's?

QOTW: Do you have pets? Tell me about them!  I've got a 7 or 8 year old (stray from the pound) Icelandic sheepdog and a 12 year old Quarter Horse, plus a random cat (supposedly a neighbor's) that has taken up residence in our barn. I don't have any recent pictures of Z but here is one of Vegas that doesn't include his wound. Sorry that its sideways but I'm uploading from mobile.
