Good news! (NGPR and somewhat FFC)
DH and I dropped the dogs off for boarding to drive down for our nephew's baptism (which we were dreading). We were halfway through our town when BIL called and told us to not bother coming and cancel our hotel because it took his ILs 10 hours to drive down. So we canceled the hotel and aren't going! I'm glad we were able to get out of it guilt-free. Now we're at the beach with my parents. :-)
