it comes in blue too if you wanted to go more gender neutral. and the piano changes positions as the baby gets older

oh and what about some sort of wrap/carrier. do you plan on wearing the baby ever? so like the Ergo 360, Moby, K'tan, Beco....these are some of the best that i've read about.

My cousin gave me her moby wrap already. And I'm afraid the rock and play will be too low and hunter will try to lick her. We plan for her to sleep in the pack and play since it has the newborn sleeper.

well lets see what happens with Bear and my dogs. they're a bit taller than Hunter so if the rock n play works for me i'm sure it will work for you.

also I have a swing that my SIL gave me and I don't think the height of the swing is that different from that of the rock n play.

I have this http://www.toysrus.com/buy/play-yards/arm-s-reach-mini-co-sleeper-natural-4111-n-2401894 that either of you are welcome to borrow! It adjusts to be as high as your bed. It takes up less space than the pack n play and it's awesome!

I have the moby wrap. I also have a Bjorn, but prefer the Moby wrap. I know a lot of people get into the expensive carriers, but the wrap worked just fine for me- in fact, I still use it. I used a ring sling for awhile with L, but she got too heavy to just support on one shoulder.

my SIL gave me her moby and so we also decided to get the Beco which is a more structured carrier for Ben to wear

My cousin preferred the wrap too. She still had the instructions and everything. She's done with kids, so said I can have the baby stuff, too bad she's in NC! I might stop by in July when we take the kids back.

We have plenty of room for the pnp in our room.

Loved my RnP! Does your swing also plug into the wall? My cousin's didn't and she went thru a TON of batteries so she made sure mine did. I try to pass that advice on.

I wish someone would have told me that! Someone gave us our swing so I can't really complain but there was a few times that I sent Shawn out at a crazy hour to get more batteries. Once T grew out of it, I gave it away. I'll get a plug in swing next time!

As far as the RNP, y'all know I would marry mine if I could because I loved it that much. Murph is a tinyyy bit taller than Hunter and he could definitely stick his head in but he never licked or bothered T when he was in there. Sometimes he would stand up on his back legs to check on T if he was fussing but he never got in his face. He's an old man though and tends to stay away from T anyway. I think it would depend on the dog. Hunter seems more interested in the world than Murph is.

The piano mat is wonderful! Logan loves it and it's great for so many things. Laying in their back to hit the activity bar and kick the keys, tummy time because the activity bar moves for that, and sit up play.
