First, I'm loving the book.   Second, how did you land with the idea of the riverboat?  I'm not from anywhere that has ever even entertained then idea of a  riverboat, but I love it!  It's fascinating me to no end.  I think I'm going to do some Googling for a vacation idea.

Lastly, I had to stop at page 142 at lunch.  Mother effer!  Just when it's getting really good!

    My agent was the one who suggested that I set a new series in New Orleans. I had never been there before, but the first thing that came to mind was a riverboat. Then I flew down to NOLA for a long weekend and toured the city, bayou, etc. for more inspiration. 

    We have riverboats here in Cincinnati, but they're small, so I contacted the American Queen staff for research. They were super nice and answered my eleven million questions, then sent me a promo booklet with tons of photos. I wanted to take a riverboat cruise, but they're super expensive. Like 5k per week!

    Interesting! I was just looking at American Cruise's website and I just about choked when I saw the prices.  What an adventure though.

    I know! I thought, "I'll pick up a cruise in Cincy. How much could it possibly cost?" Ha!
