What family member that you never met or don't remember meeting do you wish you could talk to today?

I do a lot of family history research so pretty much every relative of mine I'd love to talk to. I'd want to know all about their life in Poland, why they came to America, and if some of the family stories are true. If I had to pick just one, it would have to be my great grandma Stella, on my moms side of the family. So many stories about her life that I'd love to hear first hand.

  • My Dad had an Aunt, for the life of me, I cannot remember her name right now. He always used to tell me that I remind him of her so much. I would love to have met her and know why I am so much like her. He also has the funniest stories of her keeping my dad and his siblings in line even though she was a tiny old lady.

  • Both of my grandmas. I met my grandma on my mom's side of the family, but she had severe Alzheimer's. She died when I was in 3rd grade. I would love to have a conversation with her because my only memories of her are her in a nursing home bed, and she was unable to speak. My other grandma died when I was an infant, so I have no memories of her and never got to talk to her.

  • Both of my Grandpa's. My mom's dad died a year after my mom and dad were married, at least 10 years before I was even born, and my dad's dad died when my dad was 16.

I'd be particularly interest in meeting my dad's dad. My dad always said i'd be his "favorite" grandchild if he was still around, and I think him and H would get along really well, just from the stories i'd heard from my dad, and the things that he was interested in.

  • My great Aunt Addie on my Mother's side.  She died when I was 4, I have very vague memories of her, but everyone in the family speaks so fondly of her.  My grandmother used to tell me that I was very much like her.  I was also told she was an amazing cook but never wrote anything down, so I'd like to pick her brain and get some of those recipes.

  • I'd love to meet any of Hs Grandparents. They all passed away long before we met.

  • My mom's brother died in a car wreck when I was 3. He wasn't always the best person but my mom says I'm a lot like him in the way I look and carry myself sometimes. She said after I was born he just thought I was the best thing in this world. He was one of these tough guys but with a heart of gold.
