Collectibles

Do you have anything in particular you collect (or enjoy, and are therefor so often gifted that it has become a collection)?  Figurines?  Things with a certain animal or color?

Personally, I was just looking through my Etsy favorites, and it hit me that I really love coffee/tea mugs and throw pillows.  As in, I think 90% of my favorited items are mugs and pillows.  It's probably a good thing I don't have that much money or otherwise this might really be a problem.

When I was growing up it was dolphins. I grew out of that though and most of it is stashed away, not displayed anywhere.

Now my primary collections are shoes and books. People get me shoes and shoe related gifts all the time! :)

I do this too but with shoes. Whenever we go somewhere, I buy a pair of shoes from a store or designer/artist I couldn't get at home instead of a magnet or keychain or something to commemorate the trip. We call them my shoeveniers. :P

  • I collect bird stuff, Nativities, and decks of cards from places Ive been. We have a collection of handmade coffee mugs. We've gotten rid of all our "normal" coffee mugs and only use the neat pottery we've gotten from various places we've visited. I also collect Christmas dinner plates. I get bored easily so rather than having 1 set of dishes that I'll eventually tire of, I just buy one plate so I have a mismatched set that I will always love and can add to if one breaks!

In Christ alone my hope is found. He is my LIGHT, my STRENGTH, and my SONG!

I have a lot of bird-related things (especially penguins), both because I buy them for myself and because other people buy them for me. I also collect shot glasses and pin badges from places I visit. I think there are probably other things, but I can't think of any off the top of my head. Maybe holiday decorations, I have a lot of those...
