me vs. the birth ball

last night DH got home from work and I was rolling my hips around on the birth ball. he was like, what the heck are you doing?! haha he said it was an interesting sight.

but for real, i'll do anything to help this kid drop and get out!! i'm in single digit territory now!

Re: me vs. the birth ball

  • LOL!  Keep at it!  Maybe try some light bouncing, too.  Don't rush him - he'll come when he's ready :)

I know i'm just so excited! and I also really don't want to get induced...
  • Hope the birth ball helps!! We actually still have mine sitting in our living room, almost five months later. In the early days, DH and I both used it while holding LO to bounce her, because she LOVED the motion when she was fussy. Now, I just haven't thought to put it away, because it's become such a normal fixture in the room :)

  • I can't believe how close you are!! eeekk!!! :)

I don't blame you for not wanting to be induced. It's a worry of mine too. Just keep doing what you're doing, he'll come when he's ready.

  • The birth ball is amazing! Such a great tool for getting baby into a favorable position.  I used mine too when H had wicked colic.  Pretty sure he liked it from all the time I spent boucing on it before he was born.

So close now - thinking of you mama!

Hope it helps! I weeded the lawn the night before I went in to labor, if you want to try that. I didn't do it to put myself in labor. Just did it because it had to be done.

Yep I worked from home from week 40 on until I had Delilah and bounced on that thing constantly. I don't know if it helped since I went to 41 weeks, but I avoided induction and had an easy labor. Definitely won't hurt! (Except she also constantly wanted movement after birth and one of the only ways to calm her was to go up and down the stairs with her repeatedly...I blame the ball - haha)
