Have A Conversation With Someone New and Have A Weekend With H Only

I totally fail!! I didn't even realize how late into May it already is! So sorry girls!

Anyway, this months challenge is to Have A Conversation With Someone New. This is going to be a hard one for me. I'm not good with random conversation and I feel like I'm super awkward when I engage in it.

As for the quarter challenge, I may try to plan something for this weekend for H and I to do. We are listing our house on Thursday and it may be nice to just get away for the weekend so we don't have to worry about it.

I talked to someone new yesterday! Well, she isn't a stranger but I've only met her once before. She is one of my husband's aunts that is pretty estranged from the family. I met her at our wedding and literally our whole conversation was "Hi I'm David's Aunt Nancy" "Hi, I'm David's wife, Christina". I saw her yesterday at a family gathering and it was nice to talk to her.

In June H and I are going to a cottage resort for the weekend. We've gone twice before but never in summer so it will be nice to swim and hike in nicer weather.

Our vacation is May 24-31, so I'll have lots of "only H" time

We had a party on Saturday with a bunch of people from DHs car club. One of the new guys brought his girlfriend that I had never really talked to. She seemed nice.

As for the weekend alone, we don't have any plans for that as of yet. DH is still hoping to work a lot on the weekends so it's kind of hard to plan.

I was at a wedding on Saturday and talked to a few new people. I sat next to someone I met that night and her and I had a lot of fun.

As for the H only weekend I think we'll do that when we do our babymoon. Does it count if I plan it now but don't take it this quarter?

I introduced myself to the photographer at the wine fest and volunteered my services! Never met her before.

H and I are going on a trip to Key West, but it isn't just the two of us :-x

I converse with new people at work literally every day. Does that count?

And H and I are thinking about taking a weekend trip for my birthday next month, so maybe that'll be our weekend alone.

I've been having a ton of conversations with new people lately since we decided to sell most of our furniture. I think last night was the most awkward one yet - this lady came over to buy a large mirror and on her way out, she realized she had locked herself out of her car. So while she waited for AAA to come out, she was in the house and just stood by the front door the whole time. I could tell she felt really uncomfortable so it just made the whole situation awkward.
