Wtf self - how did you spill your smoothie all in your work bag AND inside your coat pocket?! Oh and your keys were in that pocket!

Random - Jeff got to talk to Lilly last night. She doesn't like Eliza and wants us to think more about Princess Peach... He said she can nickname her princess peach, and she wasn't having it.

Dear M,

I know you are becoming independent and want to everything yourself. However, I don't appreciate standing in the pouring rain waiting while you climb into your carseat, because god forbid I lift you. It also isn't very nice to jump in a mud puddle and then wipe your muddy shoes on my shirt while I buckle you in.

You have me counting down the days until preschool,

Stupid weather...the rain couldn't hold off until lunchtime today. We had our school picnic this morning. Kids had a ball and didn't mind being wet. Luckily it was just a drizzle, but still chilly. Although, more parents took their kids home with them when the picnic is over so I guess the rain worked in my favor.

And WTF nest, why do you keep logging me out the past couple days.

I don't know how to classify what I'm about to say, so I guess...random?

I got a text from ST today, the first one I've gotten in a while. (In case you missed it, ST = Student Teacher and she was hired to replace me when I left my old school 2 years ago.) She said that the principal is retiring and my first thought was, 'Darn.' I did some reflecting on this somewhat surprising reaction and realized that I subconsciously have been comforted by her continued presence at the school because she probably would have hired me back if I asked her to. Not that I would have asked her to. But it was nice knowing that that could have happened. Maybe. I dunno, it's weird. I guess it's kind of like being happily married and finding out that your first boyfriend became a priest. An obscure safety net has been taken away.

I'm not making any sense. I should probably go to bed.

WTF...My warranty on my car expired in the beginning of May and we just paid it off. Now my check engine light is on and it made a funny noise while starting.

Take it to auto zone and they will run and see why the light is on for free. That way you have an idea before taking it to the shop.

BIL has a scan tool. Actually so.does DH, but it won't work on my car.

@janma529 - No that made complete sense to me.

@klm42404 - Isn't that always how it works?! Fingers crossed that it is something easy and cheap to fix.

Here's my WTF: WTF H's cousin! You are a raging alcoholic. I don't know how many times it will take you going to rehab but you're being so destructive to our family right now and I can't stand it. And yes.. beer is alcoholic so drinking a beer does not mean you're sober.

:Hugs: We've been there/going through it with a member of dh's family, except they won't do rehab. It really is sad how it impacts the entire family.

Thanks..it's really awful and just breaks my heart. He went to some fancy rehab last year and just finished at the detox place on Kirkwood Highway. But now he's worse than before and was involved in a hit and run this week. I just feel so bad for H's aunt and uncle.

it is really sad. my BIL was sent to rehab a couple years ago and it really impacts everyone.

I have to know....Do the kids have that same adorable accent Jeff does? I dont think I would be able to handle to cuteness

Oh yes, they do. If we have Lilly for the pool party ask her how she is. She does this Paula Dean / southern Belle "I'm fine, how are you?"
