Memorial Day weekend plans?
I thought I'd start this today since maybe some of us will start our long weekend early and not be working tomorrow. So what are you doing to officially kick off summer?
Re: Memorial Day weekend plans?
Dd's 6th birthday is on Sunday (eek 6!!). My MIL, FIL and 3 BILs are all coming into town for the long weekend and staying with us. So we will have a very full house!
Not sure what all the plans are besides having a cookout/family birthday party for dd on Sunday. And of course finishing up prep work for that on Saturday. We are also taking Tuesday off so we have a very Long weekend!
I'm going to sleep in for three days in a row and I want some time to work on a few small projects and I'm sure there will be bike riding. We need some things for summer (new Keens, some shorts, etc), haircuts, and we'll probably go to the zoo.
I can't wait to catch up on sleep and life a bit!
I wanted to take tomorrow or Tuesday off, but my boss is out on leave, and work has been cray....even if it's not as long as I wanted, I can't wait for the 3 day weekend!!
Friday night I have book club...well, not really book club, more like girl's night in.
On Saturday we don't really have any plans during the day other than a few errands. That night the boys are staying over at my IL's and we are going out to dinner for our anniversary.
Sunday is more of the same - random errands, probably going to the park, etc. Then the boys are headed to my parents to sleep over and we are going out with some friends that night. Two free evenings and two mornings in a row to sleep in, woo hoo!
Monday we are going to my parents for a cook out.
saturday we have EJ's rehearsal for her dance recital and are having a group of neighbors over to officially kick off pool season!
sunday is the recital and then our parents and my sister will be over for dinner and swimming after.
monday we are having other friends over for dinner and swimming.
So to summarize we will be cleaning, prepping food, cleaning, prepping food, cleaning prepping food... hahahha. Hopefully i have it planned well enough to actually have time to relax and swim myself!
Tonight - laundry, straighten up the house to I don't have to worry about it the rest of the weekend.
Saturday -going to pool party at a friends house
Sunday - maybe taking a trip to the aviary since I have some free tickets
Monday - I think we'll head out to my parents for a few hours
Have a great, long weekend everyone!
