If you have any changes to this list, wish to be removed, added, or have graduated (yay!), please shoot me a PM.

FYI: We don't want to exclude some ladies, but this is a check in for ladies who are unfortunately having trouble trying to conceive (TTTC=3T). If you've been trying for more than a year and/or have been diagnosed with any form of infertility OR are now pursuing adoption or have decided to remain childless following a 3T journey, you are welcome to join us.

Updates: Ok ladies... where are we at this week? Testing, Procedures, Appointments, Adoption updates, Life updates? What’s going on, etc. Let's hear all about it!

QOTW: If you could be best friends with any literary character (or movie character if books aren't your thing) who would it be and why?

Had my sonohysterogram and more bloodwork done Tuesday. I got a little nervous when the np asked if I had anything to tell her about my left ovary. She couldn't find it, but apparently it was hiding behind my uterus. We go back to the RE June 9th to discuss the results and our options. I'm hoping we can start IUI immediately because at this point I'm just ready to move on.

OOTW: this is such a hard question since I love to read. I'll have to get back to you!

Update: Spending five full days with my nieces has done a bit more to convince me that I am becoming more and more okay with not having babies.  They are wonderful, well-behaved, adorable children, but HOLY CRAP they are busy. :)

QOTW: Tough question!  Maybe Offred from The Handmaid's Tale.  I loved her spirit.

October 2013: We made the decision to stop TTC and live without children.

  • Update: Nothing new here, still taking a break.  God willing, everything will go through with the sale of our home and we'll be moving soon.  While we build/save money, we'll be staying with my parents so that's going to put a major damper on ST.  I was considering doing another medicated cycle, but there's no way we'd be able to hide it from my parents and it might be a little awkward.  I know they know we have ST, just don't want them knowing we are upstairs getting it on because we are trying to make a baby.

QOTW: I'd probably want to meet Katniss because she's badass.

QOTW: If you could be best friends with any literary character (or movie character if books aren't your thing) who would it be and why? This is a really hard question.  Maybe Rebecca from The Red Tent?  Or Laura Wilder.  Tough decision.

  • @oceanhutt – Lots of luck tomorrow! Bring something to write on because I got SO much information at that first appointment it was hard to remember it all.

@abt8113 – I would have freaked if they couldn’t find my ovary! Good luck moving forward!

@nfp147 – I’m happy to hear it is becoming easier for you with the decision to be childless. I’m sure crazy nieces make it a little easier, especially when you can send them home!

@ystaalenburg – Having ST when living with my IL’s was not easy. I can’t even imagine if we were TTC at that time!

@sewilson33 – Glad that you’re liking the acu. So, yay for feeling like a college kid again!

@sweetpotato123 – Very excited for you!!! FX!!

  • Update: Don't have to stab myself tonight. I go in tomorrow for my 6th straight day of US/BW. I am hoping this means I'm close to triggering and not that I am over-responding. I'm too afraid to ask the nurse when she calls so I'll wait til tomorrow.

QOTW: I don't know! I've been thinking all day and I dunno!

  • @poppies717‌ just this first round of paperwork is daunting, I'm a bit jealous that yours is nearly done! I started yesterday while waiting for a doctors appointment to make sure I didn't scratch my cornea, but didn't get far. QOTW: I have two completely different character's Laura Ingalls Wilder (I'd love to live a pioneer life for a week or so until I couldn't stand the lack of my shower!) or Hermione Granger.

  • @OceanHutt - GL with RE tomorrow! Like PP's have already said, make sure you write everything down (including your questions beforehand). Hope this helps get you some answers and a plan!

@ystaalenburg - FX that everything goes well with the house sale/building/buying/living with the parents!

@sweetpotato123 - Hooray for the all clear! Everything's crossed for you chica!

@RockABye - I'm not looking to switch again, but OOC, who was your RE that moved to AZ?

@islandmonkey8 - FX that everything looks good tomorrow, and that you get to move forward with your next IUI, and that it does the trick!

@poppies717 - Sorry about the craziness at your work! At least now you have a PARIS VACATION to think about! Again, so super jealous!!! :)

Update: Now this is some crazy shit... Brief recap from my update posted on Monday: TNF finally normal, been on BC for 2 months, had U/S Monday and found 3 moderately sized follies, was "benched" from IVF this cycle and started on low-dose HCG x 1, then FSH and estrogen x 3 nights (goal to grow follies and move them along to start IVF in mid-June). Well, this morning I started cramping and bleeding. Had f/u US this afternoon to check on status of follies and 1 disappeared and the other two shrank. WTF? My lining is also thinned (go figure since AF apparently didn't get the message about the meds I was started on a few days ago). Now, I have labs tomorrow (E and P). If they're low, we start stimming tomorrow night after all.

I'm so sick of this IF roller coaster. I wish I could be more excited (maybe once the labs are in, and I know where we stand?). DH and I are just ready to give this a try (obviously hoping we're successful), and then moving on with life. Then, of course to make matters worse now we're dealing with this f'ing wildfire and the possibility of having to evacuate our home. This 3-day weekend was supposed to be relaxing and filled with gardening and watching trashy TV dammit!
