This is the first weekend in 3 weeks that H and I are home! May was such a busy month for us.
Our plans for the long weekend are to go to the garden center and get our container garden started. We call it the "home farm"! I'm really excited for it this year because we have a good sized deck right off the kitchen to put it on. The deck is kind of narrow, but it's the width of our townhouse, so we can definitely fit quite a few planters. In our old townhouse, we only had the front stoop. I can't wait to have fresh herbs again...I really hate paying for grocery store herbs that only last about a week.
We don't have many plans this weekend, H is working all sorts if crazy hours because of his job situation. But, my mom is here to help out. We have to get to the grocery store and we want to hit the consignment store since they are running an extra 30% off promo until Sunday.

Well I went to work for 2 hours and checked out, after we hand out report cards Tuesday morning, I'm officially on summer break!! Tonight we're having some friends over to celebrate H's birthday, which is tomorrow. We'll have pizza, alcohol, and cards against humanity. Can't wait!!
Tomorrow I'm not sure what we're doing during the day, but it'll be up to H since it's his b-day. We'll maybe wash cars, they need it! Then we're going out for dinner with his family to a new steakhouse.
Sunday, not sure, Monday we're going to the pool at our gym and drinking!! Happy Memorial Day! haha
Busy weekend up to the point when we fly out for vacation on Sunday!!!!!! Meeting with several contractors, house cleaners, etc all to get our new house fixed and our old one ready for open house and showings.
@xxjen we will be in Williamsburg, VA this weekend, and then the Outer Banks (Nags Head Beach, specifically) Tues-Sat. We have a 5th floor king sized ocean front suite...SO excited!!!
Friday - yoga depending on how I feel. They have the ac back on today!!!
Saturday - I want to be lazy, maybe clean if I feel like it. I'm feeling the urge to nest but not the energy to haha. We really need to get the furniture out of the nursery and start on that!
Sunday - bbq!
Monday - phillies game! We got tickets 8 rows back AND and dollar dog night. It's also my mom's 60th birthday (they are coming too).
Today we are going to meet with a rep for a community builder to see lots in a new subdivision that's being opened next month. I have a feeling they are going to charge a small fortune for their lots because they are all around half an acre, but we won't know unless we meet with them.
The rest of the weekend, we are spending at H's parents house. We're leaving tomorrow morning and will come back Monday morning (hopefully). Blah!
Saturday one of DH's cousins is having his college grad party. I'm excited for it I like a lot of his extended family. After that a bonfire at my sister's.
Sunday, my brother gets in town from Alabama!!! I haven't seen his daughter since August (born in July.) It will be fun to see her older. She's super adorable!
Today I was not up to being at work with this long weekend so I only lasted about 2 hours before I was done and decided to use my leave to get off early. Everyone was on leave today anyways so I don't feel so bad about it. Tomorrow I am suppose to meet up with my bf who I haven't seen in a while but her wife had surgery this week on her nose so now the plans are up in the air. Sunday the plan is to go to this restaurant we have a groupon for that expires next week. Monday we might go to a friends cookout but H found out yesterday he will have to work Monday so now the plan is up in the air since he might not get off work in time.
Just woke up from a nap with H. We both worked at six AM today (he's partially responsible for convincing my boss to let me come in early apparently)
Now, just sitting and working on my cross stitch while watching Jeopardy. Probably not much else for tonight.
I think we're looking at heading into town sometime this weekend. If we do go, it'll probably be after lunch time tomorrow since I work again on Saturday. Gotta love getting paid for an hour of work and only being there for a half hour.
Tonight we went appliance browsing so we can jump into remodeling as soon as we close on the house.
Tomorrow, we're going to a baby furniture store in NYC to browse. We can't buy anything until we close so we need to get ideas on delivery time frames. Luckily, the furniture store is near Shake Shack, so I convinced H to go there for lunch
Sunday we're going to IL's for a BBQ. They always make an insane amount of food. I can't eat as much as I used to, space is limited, so I'll just stare at most of it.
Monday, we're having a BBQ with friends at a friend's house. I'm excited to see my friends, it's been a while. Monday is a much needed day off!
i'm a little late to the party (for the life of me I cant figure out how to post from my ipad and make paragraphs)
Friday- i had off from work so it was me and DD, i used her nap times to get the house clean and work out
Sat- H had off so he started working on the laundry room, when we bought the house there was just a shelf in there, he is putting in cabinets on both sides and making it more user friendly. I went to the gym in the morning and then just did some more stuff around the house
Sun- I went to the gym in the a.m., H worked across the street at the neighbors for a little (he started finishing their basement for them last year), then FIL came over with his now fiance and her daughter (she had her son with her and her FIL) for a couple of hours and then we went to a memorial day BBQ
Monday- H and I both had off from work, so H worked on the laundry room again, its almost done! DD and I went for a walk and played in the yard, but it was too hot for her so that lasted for maybe an hour!
