  • Leaving work early today to meet with a builder then we'll come home, pack for the rest of the weekend, and hopefully relax.

Tomorrow, we are leaving to visit H's parents in the Dallas area.  I'm not looking forward to it.  I love his parents, but their house is unkept and his mom cooks weird food.  We're coming back Monday morning, so it's going to be a long two days. :(

  • Tonight is happy hour with a few close work friends at our favorite Latin place in the city. I'm hoping to drink off the last 4 months. It will be emotional because they've been very worried about me since our loss but hopefully after the heavy stuff it becomes fun as usual. DH has already offered to pick me up because he fears I will drink away my stress.

Tomorrow is sleeping in with DH and then a little bit of shopping. We need to go to the furniture store where we had put a few items on hold and reevaluate our potential new house. I know the one piece won't fit so we'll see how it goes.

Sunday and Monday we have no plans. It will be amazing. We'll go to church of course and then I'm hoping I can convince DH to go on a long trail walk one or both days.

Tonight, tomorrow, and Sunday - No real plans.  I would like to go to the farmer's market tomorrow morning and clean the heck out of the apartment.
Monday - MIL "volunteered" DH & I to go canoeing with her BF and his family. :-L DH sees no problem with it.  I, on the other hand, am pissed.  And now we have to bring the food to grill.  So I have to spend my day driving to a canoe place, bring perishable food, spend a day with people I don't know, all the while trying to be sociable. I get that she wants us to get to know that side better, but I take issue with the fact that I'm now being forced to do something.  I know it'll be fun, but she could have asked first instead of saying we're going, end of story.

ETA - There is a brand spankin' new meteor shower tonight that will best be viewed in North America.  2-4am, 100-200 per hour.  I know what I'm doing tonight.

Our long weekend was last weekend and I took 3 extra days :)

I'm hoping the rain will hold off tonight so I can get some bedding plants into pots.

Tomorrow I'm running across the border into NY state to pick up an Amazon order and then walking a 5K race with a  friend.  We'll go for dinner after.

DH is taking a gun safety course this weekend, so I'll have all of Sunday to myself to do some gardening and grocery shopping.

Have a nice long weekend ladies!

Tonight- date with DH. I'm excited because he picked to go to a healthy, local restaurant which is something he doesn't normally pick.
    Tomorrow-workout, running errands
    Sunday- church, dog park
    Monday workout, cleaning

We don't really have anything planned which is very unusual for us. A lot of our friends are working Monday Bc the schools are using it for their makeup day for bad weather.

These weekend plans sound fabulous. As I was reading through them, I kept thinking, "That sounds fun, I need to do that!"

This weekend is the kick-off of LAKE SEASON in Mid-Mo!  We are headed the the lake house.  DH has been working some major long hours, so it will be three amazing days of quality time--plus his immediate family will be there.  We all get along really well, so it will be good to spend time with everyone (I may need to be reminded of these words by Monday ;) ) .  I am hoping this weekend holds some shopping, sun, boat rides, and delicious food!

    Have a great weekend, ladies!

I was thinking about looking for this tonight; my dad always used to take us out to see things like this and saw an article about it that wasn't very specific about timing. Is that an east coast time?

I took today off so I get a 4 day weekend, woohoo!

This morning I had a doctor's appointment, then I went to lunch with Dh and my bestie, then we went grocery shopping and afterwards came home and cleaned our apartment, including shampooing the carpets.  It smells so good in here now.  Once all of that was done Dh and I went for a 3 mile walk/jog at a local park and now we're trying to decide what we want for dinner.

Tomorrow morning I'll go to the gym and then in the evening we're going to a friends for a cookout/bonfire.  I bought stuff to make smores...mmm.

Other than that, our weekend is open.  My parents opened their pool so we're hoping by Sunday it'll be warm enough to spend some time in that.
