Fitbit?

Does anyone use it, or something similar?  What do you like about it?  What don't you like?

I'm fairly active at my jobs, so I thought this might be a good way to keep track of how active I am outside times I set aside for exercise.

My co-worker has one and loves it.  I just don't think they are a very nice "accessory".  I would never wear it to work.

  • I have the older fitbit that can just fit in my pocket (not the one that goes on your wrist) and I like it.  It makes me actively think about walking around more to get more steps in.

  • I have the Fitbit Flex (the one that goes on your arm) and I love it. Nfp147 is right in the sense that they aren't super fashionable but I don't mind wearing mine to work. I don't work in an uber professional atmosphere though. I got the black one instead of a brighter color so that it won't clash terribly with any work outfit. I do love the fact that you can get so many different colors though! I'm going to get a pink one eventually.

It definitely makes me more aware of my activity level. I have mine synced with both My Fitness Pal and Runkeeper so pretty much everything is updated at once and I don't have to manually enter anything but food for the most part.

The only thing I don't like about it is that when I am grocery shopping, the vibration from the cart will sometimes put my Fitbit into sleep-mode so that is kind of annoying. I just try to use my other arm when pushing the cart. Or I have DH push the cart instead of me.

I have the fitbit One, which clips to my pants (or wherever). I didn't want an armband kind because I have really tiny wrists and I didn't want it to fall off. I wear it at work and routinely walk 5+ miles in one day there. I like seeing how far I go.

How long can you wear it without being recharged? Just curious!

Cinnabun and Junebug say, "Go Wildcats!"

  • I'm not sure what the longest you can technically wear it between charges is but I charge mine on Sunday night every week...so at least 7 days.
