Re: Highs and lows of your weekend?

  • High was getting to hang out with some friends in Dallas and drink lots of wine.  Also, getting past the buyers option period, so we are now just waiting to close.

Low was a bad IF day on Friday.  I don't know why, but I was super emotional and having a pity party for one.

Exciting stuff for the week is going to meet with some builders and look at some potential lots.  I'm also hoping we can go see Maleficent on Friday.

  • I am glad you had a good weekend.  Drinking in Dallas is the most fun, if I do say so myself ;)

    Congrats on the new build!

  • Best: Spending time with my niece and nephew and just generally relaxing.

    Worst: Just general IF misery.

Nothing fun or exciting really. Just working out and drinking shakes lol.

  • Best: we took a swing dance lesson and DH actually danced several songs at the Big Bad Voodoo Daddy concert Sunday! Worst: traffic coming home Monday was crazy. This week should be pretty short-I was off today and Friday we leave for a camping trip at Knoebel's (a semi local amusement park)

Best - some quality time with DH and starting our attempts for this cycle. ;-)

Worst - (loss related) - We would have gone public this weekend if we wouldn't have had our loss. That hit me pretty hard. I keep thinking I'm doing well and then something irrational makes me sad.

This week excitement is our home inspection on Friday. Also, we're headed to NJ for the weekend. Not looking forward to the IL time or baby themed weekend (shower and baptism) but I love taking long car trip with DH. It helps us reconnect.

ETA - I'm mobile and apparently have fat fingers.

Best: Our friend who had the heart attack last spring walked the 5K race with me and he did really well and felt really good.

Worst: It was not a long weekend in Canada :)

This week I'm looking forward to Friday!  It's another busy week at work, and I'm trying a new restaurant with some gilfriends Friday night.

Highs: I had a good time canoeing Monday with DH, MIL and her boyfriend and his family. I also cleaned the mess that had become our kitchen and living room and did laundry.

Lows: Epic fight with DH.  :(

This coming weekend we're going to a cabin near Charlottesville with MIL and her boyfriend.  I really hope this is the last time for now.  I'd like to spend time with MY family.

Also, my last day at my current job is FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!  I am beyond happy.  My new job starts next Monday.  :)

That sucks. I hate fighting with Tom. It makes me feel so unsettled.

Yeah.  It had been dragging on for a few days, making me feel like crap because I couldn't sleep.  I'm glad it's done, though.

  • High: Our friends were here for 4 days.  It consisted of wine, more wine, hiking, winery, and sitting out on the patio.

Low: BIL drove home drunk and got into a major car accident.  How he was able to get out of his car with just some scrapes and bruises, we have no idea.  Needless to say he was charged for drunk driving and likely won't be learning his lesson because MIL will bail him out.

This week:  We're on stay cation till tomorrow! :-)  We've gotten so much stuff done around the house, and it's been so nice not to have to work. Now I wish we would've taken tomorrow and Friday off too.

  • I'm sorry @simsk3887
@brij2006 - that's terrible about your BIL! I can't stand when people are always being saved by their parents whenever they f*ck up.

High was having my best friend come over on Sunday we went hiking, made an awesomeeee dinner and drank wine. We had a blast.

Low - realizing I gained back all the weight I lost in the past year. I went off my diet in December after we hit the year mark and haven't stopped feeding my emotions since. Now I'm back to where I was!

Plans for this week... I am kicking my butt into gear and started to really work out every day, hopefully hiking twice this week. DH wants to buy a fence and do that this week/weekend.

  • Highs: Being at the beach! Still being on vacation with my family, especially twin sister, BIL, and niece. It was such a nice week together!

Lows: Coming home from vacation on Sunday, and with a cold to put the cherry on top. I still can barely breathe, and I'm living on hot tea with honey today for my throat.

Also, when we got home, we found our one cat had shit all over the dining room. This is the second time she's done this when we've gone away. She apparently gets super stressed out when we all leave. So, the house smelling like shit and having to clean that up was fun.

Nothing exciting planned for the week. Just wrapped up a committee meeting that spanned all of yesterday and a few hours this morning. If I still feel like crap this weekend, I'll be camping in front of the TV and taking it easy.
