Show off where your books live!

I just moved, so this is a work in progress but you know the first thing I did was get my bookshelves set up

I have a shelf of black & white books in the office, but who cares about black and white books?

This if the upstairs 13 foot bookcase complete with library ladder. This is an old pic when it was first built. There are a ton more book on it now.

Here is my library. It was the first project J took on after we moved in the fall. We spent New Years Eve filling it up with books. There will be another 3 ft section behind the chair in a few years when I run out of room.

I had to give mh a shelf for his magazines, but it is only temporary.

The life of an expat:

Since there are over 1500 books in there (okay, really they're on 'the cloud'), it's the vast majority of my current collection. Most physical books get passed on to fellow English speakers.

All of these obviously don't include any of the children's books I own. I'm hoping these are all the before shot. We move into a new house next month and one of the spare bedrooms will become a library/probably where DH's drumset is stored. I'm hoping to eventually have something like this on the largest wall of the room:

J and I each have one bookcase. The house is too small for more. Mine is packed two rows deep these days. The library has been my friend until we move to our forever home and I have room for a library. My shelf is not picture worthy.

Not my house, but this is what our bedroom feels like. We live in a tiny condo, and the books are taking over. I can't help it.

Mine are spread out over the house and not necessarily that interesting. I love seeing everyone else's pictures though!

My shelves are lame. We've moved a lot in the past few years so I've gotten rid of a lot of books. I can't wait to buy a house so I can start buying physical books again.

Ha! I was going to post a picture of my kindle too. No library over here. Maybe some day when I stop bouncing countries.
