I was a little late this year getting sunscreen and ended up grabbing a few different bottles of what I thought were the least "damaging" but best protecting sunscreen this weekend for the pool. Turns out they are all crap according to various sites that outline all the bad things in sunscreen. So let me know what you use that won't cause us all to get cancer while we are trying to prevent cancer X( & hopefully its not $20 for a .02 ounce tube!

Re: Sunscreen
Basically, what you want to look for is a sunscreen that has a physical barrier instead of a chemical barrier. Any sunscreen with zinc oxide or titanium dioxide is going to provide the physical barrier and cause the UV rays to reflect instead of being absorbed by your skin.
Before our current brand we used Badger, Jason’s, and/or California Baby. I bought them at Whole Foods, but I’m sure you can find their elsewhere, too.

Oh lovely, something else for us to worry about?!
I just bought two Banana Boat sunscreen sprays at Target ($6.99ea, buy 2 get a $5 gift card) and used a $3 manufacturer's coupon as well. Now I guess I should see what it's going to do to keep us safe or get us ill?
I have a CVS brand cream to use on the face (the sprays are no good for the kids' faces as they're squeamish about it, and I don't blame them). We were getting sunburn back in late January down here, so I'm trying to be hypervigilant on keeping everyone protected.
I use the Aveeno Baby on Sean - I found it at Target last summer, lala, if that helps?
