Re: NOTD: Unisex names!

  • I like Casey and Jordan for boy or girl but won't use. Rory is frustrating, and the other 3 are just boring and nms.

I think Rory is cute for a girl.

DH loved Morgan for a girl and I was trying to think of a way to nicely tell him "no" when we were TTC.

    My niece is Avery.

Casey - I think this is cute, but only for a boy, and I wouldn't use it.

Rory - Only for a girl, and I think that's because I loved Gilmore Girls.

    Taylor - Nope.

    Morgan - Nope.

Avery - I like it better as a boy name but wouldn't use it.

Jordan - I like this name for a boy, but probably wouldn't use it. I do know a girl Jordan, though.  It works for her (her sisters are named Peyton and Devin).

Casey - A sorority sister's husband is named this and he's a jerk, so no.

Rory - Hmmm...maybe as a nickname for something...there's also too much Gilmore Girls running through my head.

Taylor - NO!  This name has been tainted by Taylor Swift!

Morgan - I like this name for a girl.

    Avery - Cute, but NMS.

    BFP - 10/29/2016!!!, EDD - 7/8/2017
  • Jordan - Wouldn't consider it for a girl, but it's not bad for a boy. Probably still wouldn't make the short list, though.

Casey - Nope for either boy or girl. Just NMS.

Rory - Love it as a nn for a girl. Not sure about it for a boy.

Taylor - I feel like this name has gotten a bit dated. Not a huge fan of it either way, though.

Morgan - Don't like it for a girl, never even heard it used for a boy I don't think.

Avery - Cute for a girl, but I would never consider it for a boy.

  • Jordan - NMS for either gender.

    Casey - No.

Rory - Love this name for either gender. But it is our dog's name now so it'd be weird to name our kid the same!

Taylor - Not bad, but wouldn't use it.

Morgan - I don't mind it, but still wouldn't use it.

Avery - NMS for a girl. I kinda like it for a boy, but not enough to use it.

  • Casey - a bit biased, but I do poke fun at him that it's a girls name, and I often call him Boy Casey.

I love Rory for both, but like it more for a girl.

I like Jordan for both, but associate it more for girls.

I love Avery, but again, think it's more of a girls name for some reason.

    The others are nms.

  • Jordan is cute for a boy and Taylor for a girl, but I don't think I'd use them. My cousin is actually pregnant with a Morgan right now, so that's probably a no even if I was more of a fan.

Casey, Rory, and Avery are nms.
