  • I wax often. The box says it lasts three weeks - HA! Not this PCOS facial hair. It drives me bananas.I wax every week and a half.

I use this thing for most of it...

I have wax strips but I never want to let the hair get long enough to be able to wax it although I know it'd last longer than using the tool above which is similar to shaving. I tweeze the random stray hairs.

ETA:  I don't have PCOS, I'm just hairy.

I don't have PCOS, but I am hairy.  I've been having my eyebrows threaded for years and recently got my chin done.  I really liked it.

@amandaf6383, it works really well for my eye brows, mustache and side burns.  It doesn't work as well for the hair under my chin so sometimes I have to use an actual razor on that.

Kind of all of the above. I've had a lot of laser treatments for it, but the stragglers I usually tweeze or shave

  • All of the above... often
  • Shave mostly but tweeze the randoms. I've used one of those cream hair removers before but it burnt my face so that was no bueno.

  • Another non-PCOSer who tends to be hairy.

I tweeze my eyebrows (every once in a blue moon I'll pay to have them properly shaped/waxed).

    I wax my upper lip.

And I tweeze the random chin hairs I get. (Embarrassing moment: I didn't notice one right before my wedding, but the makeup artist on my wedding day caught it and plucked it for me. I hate it when anyone notices those ones.)

I know, right?? Why are the chin ones SO much more embarrassing?

Also, for those who shave, don't you have to do it like every day? Do you get stubble/5 oclock shadow like boys do?

  • I've done all of the above, but the most common one I use is shaving.  I used to have a little tool like the one Xan mentioned, but it broke and I haven't gotten another one.  Now, I just use a regular razor for my side burns and upper lip.  I only get a few stray hairs on my chin so I just pluck those.

@amandaf6383 I will shave my side burns like once every 3 weeks or so.  My upper lip I do more often, like once every 5-7 days.

I shave every few days. I would have to shave every day if I wanted it to stay super smooth. My hair is blonde so I don't really have a problem with it showing unless it gets longer. I would like to try waxing sometime soon though.
