I am fully on board the 2014 Sucks train
DH's grandmother passed away on Friday night. The only good thing about the situation was that she was very lucid and made it quite clear that she was ready to go, saying things like "I wanted to be in heaven an hour ago"... I think that made it a little easier on everyone, as much as anything can involving the death of a loved one.
Between this, the passing of my own grandmother, and the car accident, I am ready for shitty things to stop happening!

DH and I both lost a grandfather around September 2013 (within a month or two of each other). It made it really difficult because you kind of think "how could this be happening to me again?!" It was tough. It does suck.
When you've been married this long, you need a ticker to remind you.
