Wacky Wednesday

Have you guys heard about the mysterious millionaire hiding cash all around California and leaving clues on Twitter?

Say this was happening in your neighborhood:

1) If you read a "clue" on twitter, and knew exactly where the cash might be hidden, would you rush out to find it, or assume it would be claimed by the time you got there and do nothing?

2) If you found $50, what would you do with it?

3) If you found $120, what would you do with it?

4) If you found $1100, what would you do with it?

5) Would you do something similar, if you were a millionaire?

  • Have you guys heard about the mysterious millionaire hiding cash all around California and leaving clues on Twitter?

Say this was happening in your neighborhood:

I'm about to be very boring.

    1) If you read a "clue" on twitter, and knew exactly where the cash might be hidden, would you rush out to find it, or assume it would be claimed by the time you got there and do nothing?  I'd assume it would already be claimed.

    2) If you found $50, what would you do with it?  Grocery shopping.

    3) If you found $120, what would you do with it?  Grocery shopping.

    4) If you found $1100, what would you do with it?  Pay bills.

    5) Would you do something similar, if you were a millionaire?  Nope.  There's something kind of slimy about the whole thing like all these people are pawns in this millionaire's game.  I'd rather just donate it to a good cause.

  • 1) If you read a "clue" on twitter, and knew exactly where the cash might be hidden, would you rush out to find it, or assume it would be claimed by the time you got there and do nothing? I would totally assume it would be claimed already.

    2) If you found $50, what would you do with it?  $50 would go straight into my wallet and I would buy gas for my car and I would still be able to splurge and buy myself lunch too.

    3) If you found $120, what would you do with it?  $120 would be spent on shoes (who are we kidding).

    4) If you found $1100, what would you do with it?  $1,100 would go half in my savings account and half toward shoes (fun yet practical).

    5) Would you do something similar, if you were a millionaire?  If I found a million?  Would this be in cash because if not I wouldn't believe it was real and I would never do anything with it.

    1) If you read a "clue" on twitter, and knew exactly where the cash might be hidden, would you rush out to find it, or assume it would be claimed by the time you got there and do nothing?  Do nothing, assuming it would be claimed earlier.

    2) If you found $50, what would you do with it?  gas and lunch

    3) If you found $120, what would you do with it?  put it toward a weekend away

    4) If you found $1100, what would you do with it?  stick it in the bank toward a house

    5) Would you do something similar, if you were a millionaire?  Probably not.

  • 1) If you read a "clue" on twitter, and knew exactly where the cash might be hidden, would you rush out to find it, or assume it would be claimed by the time you got there and do nothing? It was really close, possibly.  Likely not though.

    2) If you found $50, what would you do with it? Probably just use it like normal.

    3) If you found $120, what would you do with it? Put towards a nice night out for J and I.

    4) If you found $1100, what would you do with it? Push up our house siding project a bit.

    5) Would you do something similar, if you were a millionaire?  Maybe, though I probably wouldn't be so public about it.   However, that would be after I got bored swimming through all my money.

  • 1) If you read a "clue" on twitter, and knew exactly where the cash might be hidden, would you rush out to find it, or assume it would be claimed by the time you got there and do nothing? If I nearby, maybe.  But probably not.

    2) If you found $50, what would you do with it? Put it towards groceries

    3) If you found $120, what would you do with it? Put it towards groceries

    4) If you found $1100, what would you do with it? Put it towards mortgage or put it towards the fixing up the house fund.

    5) Would you do something similar, if you were a millionaire? Nope, don't think so.  If I became a millionaire overnight, I'd pay off the mortgage, add a garage, fix the kitchen, do the other little fixes in the house, buy a bit of land in the middle of nowhere and build a modest house on it, then probably sell the first house for a profit, and then save the rest or take a very long cruise, depending on how much was left.

  • 1) If you read a "clue" on twitter, and knew exactly where the cash might be hidden, would you rush out to find it, or assume it would be claimed by the time you got there and do nothing? I would probably assume it was already claimed.  I wouldn't stop what I was doing to run out and check but I would probably stop by when I had a minute.
    2) If you found $50, what would you do with it? Take my kids to the movies.

    3) If you found $120, what would you do with it? Go out to eat or pay a bill.
    4) If you found $1100, what would you do with it? Probably use it to pay for my kids to join the school band.  Its going to cost $700 for my kids to be in band next year!  That doesn't even include the price of instruments which will probably be at least another $700.  They are only fourth graders.  Freakin ridiculous.  I fully expect to invest that money in them only to have them become totally uninterested in the saxophone by winter.
    5) Would you do something similar, if you were a millionaire? No, if I had so much money I was tempted to hide it around town for a scavenger hunt, I'd probably just look into a worth while charity to donate to.

  • 1) If you read a "clue" on twitter, and knew exactly where the cash might be hidden, would you rush out to find it, or assume it would be claimed by the time you got there and do nothing? If the place were very close by I'd check but otherwise no.

    2) If you found $50, what would you do with it? Put it towards groceries or gas.

    3) If you found $120, what would you do with it? I'd probably get myself a nice book haul.

    4) If you found $1100, what would you do with it? Put it towards our credit card bill.

    5) Would you do something similar, if you were a millionaire? No, if I became a millionaire over night, I would pay off bills, buy a house and help my family and treat all of us to nice long family trip together.

  • 1) If you read a "clue" on twitter, and knew exactly where the cash might be hidden, would you rush out to find it, or assume it would be claimed by the time you got there and do nothing? If it had just been posted and I could drop what I was doing, sure, why not?
    2) If you found $50, what would you do with it? Put it towards dinner out.

    3) If you found $120, what would you do with it? Mini shopping spree of things I've been wanting but haven't gotten around to picking up.
    4) If you found $1100, what would you do with it? Put it in the "we need to get the driveway paved" fund.

    5) Would you do something similar, if you were a millionaire? No - I think it's really fun but I'm not creative enough to pull it off well.
  • 1) If you read a "clue" on twitter, and knew exactly where the cash might be hidden, would you rush out to find it, or assume it would be claimed by the time you got there and do nothing? It would depend on how soon I read it and how close I was to the location.

    2) If you found $50, what would you do with it? Shoes

    3) If you found $120, what would you do with it? Shoes

    4) If you found $1100, what would you do with it? Really great shoes

    5) Would you do something similar, if you were a millionaire? Possibly. It sounds fun!

    5) Would you do something similar, if you were a millionaire? Hell no. There are too many people out there who really need help, to just be giving it out to punks on the street.

    1) If you read a "clue" on twitter, and knew exactly where the cash might be hidden, would you rush out to find it, or assume it would be claimed by the time you got there and do nothing? I'd rush out to find it if it wasn't too far away. I'm competitive like that.

    2) If you found $50, what would you do with it? Stock up on Kindle books for vacations this summer.

    3) If you found $120, what would you do with it? Put it towards the remaining amount I need to take the licensure exam in August.

    4) If you found $1100, what would you do with it? New couches so I can finally get rid of our set we bought in college together.

    5) Would you do something similar, if you were a millionaire? Honestly no. If I'm giving away money I want to make sure it goes to people who really need it or to a charity/organization for helping those people.

    1) If you read a "clue" on twitter, and knew exactly where the cash might be hidden, would you rush out to find it, or assume it would be claimed by the time you got there and do nothing?
Rush to find it. I'm such a sucker for scavenger hunts and any game that involves solving clues and being right.

    2) If you found $50, what would you do with it?
This would go into my Starbucks fund.

    3) If you found $120, what would you do with it?
Hmm, probably buy Paul the bike rack he wants for his Jeep.

    4) If you found $1100, what would you do with it?
Family vacation. Maybe a week to Zion and Cedar City for the Shakespeare festival like we did last summer.

    5) Would you do something similar, if you were a millionaire?
    I love games, so yes.

  • 1) If you read a "clue" on twitter, and knew exactly where the cash might be hidden, would you rush out to find it, or assume it would be claimed by the time you got there and do nothing? Depends on how close I was to it. If I was fairly close, I'd totally try.

    2) If you found $50, what would you do with it? Buy this skirt that I wanted to keep from Gwynnie Bee.

    3) If you found $120, what would you do with it? Put it towards plane tickets to RWA Conference in San Antonio.

    4) If you found $1100, what would you do with it? See my first Broadway show ON Broadway.

    5) Would you do something similar, if you were a millionaire? Maybe. I'd be more likely to get involved with a charity or educational fund.
I write sexy books. I read all the books. I love dresses & macarons.

  • Have you guys heard about the mysterious millionaire hiding cash all around California and leaving clues on Twitter?

Say this was happening in your neighborhood:

    1) If you read a "clue" on twitter, and knew exactly where the cash might be hidden, would you rush out to find it, or assume it would be claimed by the time you got there and do nothing?
I would probably assume that someone else had claimed it.

    2) If you found $50, what would you do with it?
    Buy books, of course.

    3) If you found $120, what would you do with it?
Probably pay bills. Being an adult sucks.

    4) If you found $1100, what would you do with it?
Save it for our Disney trip or pay bills.

    5) Would you do something similar, if you were a millionaire?
No. It seems sort controlling and creepy to me. If I had money like that, I would probably start a no-kill shelter or invest in an existing one.
