I really don't understand (kids pjs)
Why my kids' pajamas have to be flame retardant. We don't smoke, don't have any open flames of any kind at our house. And it's ok for my dd to wear a cotton dress all day long but she can't have a cotton nightgown? Dd is such a sweaty sleeper that the thought of making her sleep in a poly blend makes me cringe. Am I missing something here? We only buy the "tight fitting" cotton pjs, but obviously can't find cotton nightgowns.
Re: I really don't understand (kids pjs)
So, the older your kids get, the less it is an issue, though the clothing manufacturers are required to follow federal law.
I *think* this was spurred by the nighttime kerosene fires from years ago, resulting in the legislation, etc.
I believe I purchased some cotton PJs that came with a huge warning on the package abotu not being flame retardant from Gap, but I could be crazy.
