What do your backyard or patio look like now? What would your dream one look like?

Our neighborhood is set up really weird. We live in row homes. We have an ally and then our back yard. Ours is huge, but we have no privacy, so we don't do much with it. I don't really care but my H really wishes we use it more. Our next home project is a deck. I do really want some type of outside venue to host.

We have a 1/4 acre lot. Our backyard is fenced but the road runs along it and we have no privacy. Our grass is terrible, we're working on getting rid of the weeds and replanting grass.

Our deck is disgusting and built incorrectly. It's on the to-do list for this summer to replace it.

Ideally we'd have a covered deck and a patio where it's sunny and my rose garden would be all established and a backyard swing.

We have a pretty large back yard. On all three sides, our neighbors have fences but it makes our yard look like crap. We have what I like to call a landing pad outside of our sunroom but it is barely large enough to use our charcoal grill and hang out while it cooks.

I would love to put in a deck or patio and use up some of the empty space in our yard.

H and I would also love to put in a fire pit so we can relax outside together and with friends.

We have a large open space in front of our apartment, but it's not ours to do anything with. We do use it every now and then to play with the dog or read on a blanket outside.

In a perfect world, we'd have a big fenced in yard with a play set for our kids, room for the dog to run around and a patio with a fire pit and grill. Maybe somewhere shaded to read.

We have an acre plus of land. Both the front and backyard are huge! Right now we have our grill, fire pit, and our table and chairs set up. It's really nice when we have people over but it gets hot, not much shade. I would love to extend the patio space we have and make it larger. And then redo the cover so that it's a little cooler and better shade. And of course we would love to have a pool.

We're going to have a really nice backyard done just in time to move! Hubby laid sod yesterday, and it's nice and fenced in and we have trees all along the fence line. Also have a nice little patio just off the door.

Our new house has a big backyard, but it hasn't been very well taken care of. The grass sucks, and they had a tarp shed in the back that killed the grass so it looks awful. We're going to put up a big garage, and do some landscaping, hopefully next year. It's fenced, but needs a new one.

One of the reasons we bought this house was for the yard. The people before us did an awesome job with it. It backs up to woods so it's pretty private. It's fenced with an awesome deck. T has a large playset/swing set that is built out like a playground so it rests on mulch instead of grass. We also have a pool.

We have a condo, so no real backyard. We have a deck, but for some reason, our deck fence only goes waist high, and everyone else on street is tall like in Home Improvement. H always yells at me for walking around our bedroom naked cuz the windows are so close to the next building behind us and the small culdesac street behind us. I should be able to walk around my bedroom naked if I want, damn it!
