What would you do with the money?

So just curious - what would you do with $2,000?

  • use it towards a new house.

  • If you have CC debt, I say use it to pay some of it down.  If not, then use it towards whatever house projects are needed around the house.  There's always something that needs to get done around the house!

  • Save up for movers for our hopefully approaching move!
  • Pay off the next debt in our debt snowball.

    Pay down our mortgage.
  • Add it to our house down payment fund
  • Pay down debt. Also splurge $100 on needed things that I refuse to buy right now.

Half to SL debt and half towards a house project if I was responsibile.

If I was not responsible, I would book a Paris trip over New Years.

  • H and I always have these money talks. The responsible part of us always say if we ever got a chunk of money, we'd pay debt. However we really never splurge on anything. So we dream about possible vacations, splurge purchases, etc.

H always says, "If we win the lotto..." Yeah, we never play... Lol

Right now, I would use it toward house stuff.  Hopefully in 3 or 4 months I would use it toward debt.

  • Add it to savings.
  • MW and I would split it three ways, $1000 towards debt, $500 towards our one savings account used for home repairs and e-fund, then the remaining $500 towards our vacation this summer with her family.
  • With DD#2 moving out of our room in a few weeks, I would buy a new bed for us and give the bedroom a little makeover (especially the sitting area where DD#'2's crib is).

  • Pay down debt
  • Put it towards our heating project in the basement
Warning No formatter is installed for the format bbhtml
  • Put it in our E-fund. My husband went through a job loss last year. While we were able to cover all the bills, our e-fund took a hit. Now that he is employed we are working on building it back up again!
